K well i was out in quebec for the water ramps witch i was pumped for and so on..anywho they taught me how do go down the ramp and stuff.but they did not tell me what to do after i land...so i go my first time i land i float back fine ..beaucse i didnt think you had to do anything..k then i go again just do like a shiffty 180..fine float back thrid time i land in the water waiting to float back and all of a sudden im getting sucked under the water and i am trying to stop myself no matter what .im going more and more until im right about to go under and i yell help then there i was under the waterr...my hands waving back and forth ..i thought i was dead after 20 seconds under the water..still no one has done anythingg ..all of a sudden i hit something very hard..it was the stairs ..but dont go and say o ya you could have just swam up...these were giant jets and air bubles sucking me under the waterrr)..then i stick my hand out pf the water when i get a hold of a stair ..luckly there was a french kid there who got his ski stuck to a stair that luckly saw me and grabed my hand..i was up and throwing up water and coughing ...when i see the life gurad i go what the fuck..she goes so your ok then??..now i have a water phobia this is 2 months later and when ever i go near water the sequence goes through my head of my drowning and dieingg..what do i do to get over it....??like the thing was that when i put my skis flat after i laned then i stared to get suckedd..who else has had this happen to themm?

i just got back from ramps in grande prairie, it was super fun but they had no real bubble grid so no "under toe" or w/e you got into trouble with, but we did see a lot of ppl die going down from catching edges. the surface there was called meanie. instead of the carpet stuff that you can carve and stop on its like super stiff plastic bristles and it cut ppl up pretty good

yeah that happened to me once when they put the bubbles on too late. we wore life jackets though. the bubbles make ithe water less dense so you sink. i know a guy that fell on em but he was wearin a wetsuit luckily, it just ripped the suit.

Lets see, I saw a snowboard chick eat shit when I was about 16, she tried to carve toeside on the meanies, and fucking took off all her skin, and I got a "whiteout" which i guess was a small brain anyurism (sp?) after diving to the bottom of the pool off the third to try to retrieve a lost ski, also when i was 16. Fucking awesome.

what did you do about you sinking??..and like how did you get over it

beaucse like after i sunk everytime i though i was going to sink

dude it happens its not a big deal.

sometimes aerielists hit the tripple and stay under for so long. you were fine

stop bitching.

and dont tell me i have no expirience with ramps because i have more then you

it only happened once and i just kinda kept kciking and paddling towards the surface until the bubbles stopped and i came up. i just wasnt expecting it so i had no air underwater

It is the same theory with the Bermuda triangle. Gasous release at the sea floor, which causes less bouyancy at the service, which makes boats sink. Hint: Do be a boat.

cause the bubbles only turn on for about 5 seconds just to break the surface tension...then they turn off. and i explained earlier, the bubbles make the water less dense by adding more air which makes your body sink into the water more because of the instantaneous drop in density. its on mythbusters.

if you're in a bunch of air bubbles in water there's nothing you can do to stop sinking except get out of the bubbles into solid water.

Now I've never had the priveledge of some summer water-ramp sessions so i can't speak from experience, but that only happens with either a lot of or big-ass bubbles

you made a thread about how you cant hold your breath for more that 15 seconds, and now you are scared of water.....

It's happened a lot, I remember a girl posting about this too, also being sucked under the stairs I think

ive never had or seen anyone have this problem. the boubles usually just push you to the side so you dont even have to swim.

Naw I could afford it but I opt not to spend my money on being a bleeding vagina like yourself. And shouldn't your comment be along the lines of, "Or your parents cannot afford it," because I highly doubt you are paying yourself to go. LOOK BUBBLES! AHHH RUNNN!

Fucking pussy.

They left the bubbles on for too long. Sounds like they left it on way too long for you. Not sure what too tell you other than get over it

yea, i went under for liek 15 seconds at quebec ramps too, its because you tried to liek, stand up in the water, then yea, since the bubbles are less dense you sink. but really its not that bad, you probably freaked out and started to breathe… (water). but i doubt you were under for very long, the lifegaurds always turn off the bubbles when someone is drowning.

I've never hit water ramps, but that sounds sketch as fuck. And HE SAID that they didnt turn off the bubbles and the lifeguard didnt even do anything if you read it again.

I guess next time, just be a man and tell them not to use the bubbles on you if they dont know how to operate it.

i went white water rafting we fliped i got stuck right at the bottom of a 5 ft drop couldnt get up cause water pulled me up and the raft was on me for 20 seconds i was freaking out

dude no they dont..thats why if you losse your ski they dont turn off the jets and go get it beaucse it takes to long to turn on and off

i like how everyone in this thread is going "it happens" or "get over it" haha

kid obviously had a traumatic experience. cut him some slack.

no, they do turn them off when someone is dronwing. i got pulled under and teh bubbles were turned off once the gaurd saw i wasn't coming up. the same thing happend to me though. i found the stairs and someone pulled me up. the bubbels have an emergency shut-off button that takes about 5 seconds, and they start up again in about a minute or 2

I have had that feeling, its when they have the bubbles on to long. I have also seen people miss the pool.

yea i was just there i can see how you could get sucked under if you dont float your skis behind you but its not like they're neglegent and dont care about you everyone there is really chills and cool you must have just have a bad lifeguard
