So yeah today i was skiing at a hill i didnt really knew and hmm i saw a C box which was pretty wierdly set up

so yesterday and otday i tried it and either i cleaned it pretty nice or i fell pretty hard on it. idk why

so on the last run (yeah my friend called it) i completely smacked myself on the corner of it and then i think my knee knocked on the ground, which was pretty much ice.

3 hours later when i get out of the car (long ride home) my knee is as big as a tennis ball. my dad said it was water on the knee...

so yeah it sucks.....i dont know for how much time im out cause its the first time......any experience similar to mine???

anyone know if its just gonna go away without furter consequences?

water on the knee? Operation!

a whole bucket see? Operation!

do you also have butterflys in your stomach? or a broken Adam's apple?

fluid under your kneecap you mean? it depends on how bad it is. My buddy has fluid under his kneecap and was out a month from lacrosse. I would give it two days. If the swelling hasn't gone down you may need to get it drained.

haha I was thinking of that as soon as I saw the name of the thread.

as for your knee, if the swelling doesnt go down go to the doctor and get it drained. it happened to my friend a few years ago snowboarding and he got it drained and was only out for about a week

i have fluid on my right now, but its more from swelling and other problems and my swelling has gone down. I would ice it i geuss...ice it alot!

that happened to my friend in soccer i tihnk he just iced it like crazy and kept off of it for a while he siad it hurt like a bitch

i would go see a doctor right away. from past experiences if its water or blood now...it could solidify and then the doctor cant drain it.

no i mean theres like a tennis ball ON my knee...like the round part

ahh fuck it....its just fucking big, okay?

my buddy got that from a crash on his bike. He basicly just waited it out and iced it. I herd that draining it is kinda sketchy because it gets easily infected if u don`t take really good care of it afterwords.

shit...i was gunna say that and everyone was gunna say "oh eli, youre so funny and original"

My knee is swelled right now too, i have a fluid pocket on the side and it's been there for about 2 weeks now. It'll take awhile. But this is also my second time hurting the knee with the same injury, possible torn ACL

Ice it LOTS...you should have had ice on it from the moment you noticed it was swollen. Go see the doctor too.

id say with the spntaneous connection with the frozen water (ice) and your knee, caused a rare occurance where the ice is vaporized by the impact and morphs into your knee...best solution? Take a couple whacks at it with your baseball bat and take a few ibuprofen.

I hurt my knee pretty bad recently by landing wrong on a jump..it was all swollen and full of fluid too. I would say ice it to reduce swelling, rest it, and if it isn't bothering you you should be able to ski fairly soon.

Last week I was in the ice-pipe and fell on the jagged chunky surface and my knee swelled, but it was gone the next day.

ice + elevation...if it's the size of a tennis ball, go see a dr. immediately...could be out for up to a month I would say...

if you ask me both of your knees look fucked up. The left one it looks like your kneecap is wicked screwed up and sticks out to the side, the right one looks like the one that is hugely swelled up

am i correct in the presumption?
