ok so I got like 3 drops of water on my macbook, no biggie right? It's happened before and it's been fine but now it keeps glitching, switching between screens, sometimes typing just stops for a second, and the mouse pad barely works and is all over the place. What should i do?

Put the whole thing in rice, itll work, not even shitting you. Dropped my ipod in the toilet one time, it didnt turn on, so i put it in rice and BOOM it worked. Magic

this'll do the trick.

well a single well placed drop of water can fry an entire computer, sooooo three well placed ones probably did that. OP, I'm guessing there were somewhere where they could/did run or soak into the internals? (speakers/keyboard/trackpad/fan vents)

maybee.....just...maybe...a single well placed drop could....wait, bear with me here...That single well placed drop if placed well at the bottom of Alta....WOULD BE ABLE TO GUIDE ME TO CHADS GAP. I must away to the lab!

I spilled half a glass of water on mine and it wouldnt even turn on, but then i did this:

get a big tupperware container, fill it entirely with rice then put paper towels over it. Turn your mac off and put it ontop (it stops the rice from getting inside your computer) and close the lid of the tupperware. Wait 2-3 days. It should magically work perfectly after. Also invest in a plastic key cover, it will save you

OP do you have apple care?

A friend of mine accidentally hit like 8 cups of water onto my backpack that had my mbp in it. Well anyways when I got it out it had many of the problems you had. Sketchy battery life, just some crap wouldn't work.

Well anyways I tried everything I could do on my own, and well after they all failed I just manned up took it to the Apple store and hoped for the best. I was hoping they didn't have any water sensors inside of it, but they did. Well the guy pretty much said since it was the first time reporting accidentally damage they covered the costs, would of been around $850 or so to fix it.

So yea hopefully u have Apple Care lol.

Yeah my iPod went through the washing machine and I did this. Works like a charm now, just doesn't hold as long a battery life.

Too late for rice I'm afraid, I dropped my phone in the toilet and turned it on first, and then put it in rice. I read somewhere that once you turn it on, it fries the wet circuits, the only way it works is if you put it in the rice right after you drop it into the water without turning it on. Needless to say I had to get a new phone. If there is an apple store near you they can probably replace the broken part(s) though. My friend spilled coffee all over her macbook pro, and the apple store was able to fix it.
