Watching skiing in school

In highschool when we hit the computer lab my friend would convince teachers he was the skier in classic edits like Tom Wallisch GoPro Breckenridge lol the good old days
 
I'm taking film and video production and was showing a few classmates the SIMPLE. edits they thought they were cool, which I was surprised to find.

Also everyone look at the die cut on my laptop and asks what Newschoolers is, they never understand it
 
if anybody questions why I go on newschoolers, i just pull up the thread in nsg about the guy who literally pooped on a girl
 
Senior year had a homework class everyday 5th period. Teacher didn’t really care and it was in a lab, Netflix, slvsh, NS all the time. Plus we were always on laptops at school and could easily get away with watching stuff, and coolmathgames.com
 
Back in biology my teacher caught me watching some edits and he turned out to be a huge skier and had the chance to ski with JP a few moths before he died. But ya I catch some people looking at me like I'm crazy.

Apparently a math teacher at my high school skied mount snow way back with Chris and devin Logan before they were pros. Never had him but he seemed like the most bland guy so I had no clue.
 
I get made fun of for it but it’s ok because the people that make fun of me for it would shit their pants if they saw someone hit a dfd in person

Lol my whole school knew who my friends and I were through skiing, many thought we “were like pro skiers,” and teachers didn’t care either that much, they thought I was pro for going to USASA nationals.

if anyone were to make fun of me they’d likely get shit back from me cause they probably played lacrosse and sucked.

That’s dope. Legit nobody in my school skis park. It’s all chicks and racers, and skiing is rlly under the radar. Kinda cool tho bc me and the few others that do basically are kings when it comes to skiing. It’s amazing how unappreciative people are of this sport. Especially when they don’t understand it.

Plenty of kids ski but many aren’t avid, there’s only a few diehards left there right now and not many girl skiers. If there were more skier girls I would’ve actually gotten laid, but all the hot ones were taken and raced. I got a superlative with one of the hottest racers in our yearbook for “most likely to ski all 7 continents” which we both knew ain’t happening, she may race but she’s my dream girl. My town is very athletic in field hockey, lax and football so most kids focus on making it to college sports and gave up skiing for fun for training.

Basically summed it all up right there lol. There’s maybe 10 diehards left in a school of 2000. It’s kinda cool tho
 
I live in a small ski town (5000) people where literally everyone skis with a few exceptions and nobody really cares if I'm on NS or watching edits at school since most of them get it haha.

Oh yeah I forgot to add this, I was watching the Imagine edit tom put out and my bio teacher saw me watching it. Him being a French québécois instantly noticed it was a tribute to JPs segment and gave me props since he said he used to look up to him.

Back in high school I was watching the trailer for Ski Porn (yes this was over 10 years ago) and my teacher saw it on my screen - needless to say that was an awkward conversation. Pretty hard to explain to someone who doesn't ski that ski porn isn't actual porn.

I was looking for ski movies to watch the other day and found meatheads work it out so I got hyped, opened it and Ski Porn was in it. Instantly started watching it, I use to watch it nightly in like 5th and 6th grade, so many great skiers and segments.

Crazy when stuff like that happens especially now haha, I had a similar 1 in a million experience actually.

I asked for tips on doing front 4s, posted up a vid of my attempt and this dude said "yo I saw you do this from the chairlift! Marmot basin right?" and my mind was fucking blown.

That is fucking bullshit. No one at my school even skis. My mates get the shits when I watch ski edits instead of surf edits. FUCK.

One time I was watching Pork Frat or something like that and they were jibbing dildos and one of the kids in my class saw it and told my teacher. Probably one of the more awkward conversations I've had in my life
 
my school does not block NS or any NS uploaded videos so I usually just chill and watch hoodcrew videos in class because spliff the world always makes film class more interesting
 
Honestly had no idea so many kids got shit for this I assumed my school was just uptight about them for some reason. But yeah id watch them in between classes and during free periods
 
I recently have been watching a bunch of hoodcrew videos, and whenever people see what I'm watching they look at me like I'm insane.

I’ve showed so many kids who don’t ski pork frat the edit in school and they all loved it hahaha
 
Back in middle school i would use 3rd gen ipod nanos to watch ski movies under the desk. I always brought three, and usually had to collect three at the end of the day. lmao.
 
I live in a ski town so more get it than others, but i have countlessly been asked the questionl, "why do you like skiing so much" Well, there's a reason I ski six days a week
