watching mpeg's on a cd in a dvd player

i heard somewhere u can bearn mpeg files to a cd and they'll work in a dvd player or something there called vcd files or something so how might one do this? like put and mpeg on a cd and be able to play it in a dvd player?

 
there is a very large difference between mpegs and vcd's.

you can play vcd's and svcd's in most mp3 players. but you have to convert them to vcd's first. go here...http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ that should tell you everything you need to know. hope that helps

Nero is easy to use for making VCDs. VCDs don't work in a PS2 or X-Box, but they work in most DVD players.
