I think the real tragedy here is that the shoe did not find its mark.

But he is the president and a president can not govern in fear.

If this was the US the guy would probably serve probation if anything. Well I guess if he attacked a public speaker and not the president. It was more of a symbolic gesture than an attack.

I think its much more a symbol of a failed war and a failed presidency.
