Watch a thread without posting?

I'm sure this has been suggested before, but what about making a button which allows people to "watch"a thread without having to reply to it first? Sometimes I like to follow how threads progress but don't have anything productive to add to the conversation...

Just check on your oen, use the search bar, or if you really care post saying "mythreads." If you dont get carried away I dont think anyones going to get mad.

Sometimes I wonder if people don't know how to read or they just don't take the time to read at all. He wants to be able to watch the thread without having to post in it. Yes it has been suggested before and I'm sure it would be pretty easy to do but its not on the top of the list of things to get done. Maybe someday.

Just make something up that might be kinda useful or add to the conversation...

you can always just keep looking in on the thread with out replying.
