Wasted Food

A topic I've always had strong feeling about. I can't stand people who waste perfectly good food. It just gets me really riled up.

I just watched a clip by John Oliver on food waste and thought it's something everyone should watch since he does do a really good job of putting it in a way that's both entertaining and gets the point across.

So consider this a PSA on food waste, and I hope everyone tries their hardest to not waste food unnecessarily.

 
The Outback Steakhouse I work for donates all the leftover soups/potatoes and other possible things to the local shelter. Pretty cool.
 
I work at my schools dining hall. Every day, three shifts a day, we end up throwing out at least 3 or 4 huge garbage cans full of food that was prepared but never touched. seems pretty dumb to me
 
WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH MY LEFTOVERS? PUT THEM IN MY POCKET??? UH RIGHT LIKE IMMA RUIN MY PANTS. I WASTE ALL I WANT.

Even have some places delivering crazy fried foods like deep fried Mac N Cheese bites and even deep fried oreos and twinkies. For realz, pc has no late night food, you can walk to a mexican place thats open til like 3am but like its another 20-30 mins of walking round trip extra from my house, so i usually just go to 711 and get bullshit, usually poweraid that helps me hydrate but then shitty hot dogs.
 
I work at a Panera and every night we donate about 1k worth of left over bagels, pastries, and breads to different organizations who need them. It's pretty cool!

As for wasted food, Mighty Taco is so perfect. If you're from the WNY area, you know whats up. The one near my apartment is open until 4am on weekends-its pretty close to heaven. They also sponsor our hill so they're even more rad.

Taquitos at home too, ugh so great.

This sounds like alcohol and marijuana heaven. Do want wings at midnight.
