but then i wondered if it was okay...will it wreck the shoe?they're supra hi tops, nylon material pretty sure

They should be fine as long as there are no materials on the shoe that are really sensitive. Do a cold wash with some detergent and throw in a few old towels or something so the wash isn't quite as harsh on the shoes. Also, use some kind of spot stain remover if there is a specific are that is dirty/stained/scuffed. I've washed my Nike's a few times now and it works pretty well.

id go for hand wash first, then put them in the washer with no soaps or detergants if they arent clean enough from doing it by hand.

When mine looked like that I just washed them in the sink with dish soap and that sprayer thing. It worked fine, but I think doing it Brieb's way would probably work better, and is certainly easier.

By looking at those shoes, I bet they would work well with washing. It would be best to use a top load washer. Put them in with a bunch of towels, and let it fill up with cold water. Then I would turn the machine off and let them soak for maybe 20 minutes first. Then let it go through the gentlest cycle. Hang then upside down to dry.
