that movie premeired the other day and damn was it awesome how many of y'all saw it man when they

slid that nissan it waaas so sick had to be the best part

Warren Miller is ok..and sliding the nissian..he has that in his movies every year, it's just a fuckin commercial plug for his sponsor, which is fuckin lame. And he just buys footage off of other companies like PBP and MSP.. and who wants to see a Spring time party at a vermont ski hill.. film really stuff

The only enemy agaist progression is FEAR!
 
True they do buy some footage, but his movies always have great camera work and a decent songs selection. Journey is a great film.

 
i like his stuff, but i stopped liking it alot when he sold his name to time warner and stopped making his own movies. and buying footage. its still fun to watch but not nearly as cool a feel to it as his early stuff

I havn't missed a single premier of his since i was eight months old. His movies arn't my favorite but they definetly have the highest production value. I want to know what his budget is.

I used to hate on WM for producing sub-par movies, but if you think of it, he brings the stoke to a lot of people. I know he basically creates ads for places like vail and what not by producing resort segments and buys newschool footy, but he still produces great movies in general. He doesnt really market his movies to us, his target audience is probably the average intermediate skier, but you can tell that any 'soul' skier would like his movies. Behind this 'go out and vacation at Sugarbush or Killington busllshit,' theres always the underlying message of just get out there and ski. His movies helped build my passion for the sport.

i fucking hate people that say 'warren miller movies signify the beginning of winter' they have been using that as a marketing ploy for like 30 years....so if you say that then you've officially been bought out by warren miller. PBP, Matchstick, and Level 1 signify the beginning of winter if you ask me....

Warren Miller is sometimes the only movie to premiere in that area. So that's why they say it signifies the beginning of winter. It's ski movies in general that do it for me.

 
yeah i thought journey was amazing the skiing was ok the only really really good big mountian part was in alaska that looked insane oh and the flying man was great but it was weird how they hiked almost everywhere considering it was like warren miller and they have a huge budget

I was disapointed in the give aways at the toronto show this year. A bag full of....Nothing...

Other than that it was alright

 
Warren Miller sucks. It used to be really really awesome. I've gone to them every year of my life, and they have gotten progressively shittier. I dont even know if it's worth $10 anymore. The flying dude was sick, though.
