Warren miller's higher ground any good?

im not paying 28 bucks to watch a movie... i rather buy the dvd for 28 bucks and watch it forever

you neednt worry ive always hated warren millers movies. theres always one segment with park in it and its always basically a teaser of the pbp movie of the current year

Love it or hate it, Warren Miller movies are basically the second biggest element for exposure that freeskiing gets, after the X-Games.

okay footage, more of seth than War had in it. powder shots seem to be somehow lacking in powder (you can see their boots and topsheets in almost every "powder" shot in the film)entertaining none the least. Klaus Obermeyer is a fuckin' sick skier!

That movie was fucking worthless. I just saw it, and it is not the least bit entertaining. Maybe 60% (that is a generous estimate) was actual skiing. And the skiing that was featured, as well as the skeirs, were sub-par, with the exception of a select few. Morrison and Abma certainly killed it, but other than that... waste of time and money.

^Agreed. I usually like WM movies..In fact Storm was one of my favorite ski movies in general. However, this one sucked. They have the same resorts and heli places every time. The segment with Seth and Shane was weak. Its amazing that you can have the two of them together in a sick place, and have a pretty crappy segment. I'm convinced that every voice over that Warren did in the movie was either done before or just a recording. The intro was really good, as was the copper mountain and canyons segments. But other than that...lame.

i like WM movies for the fact that you get a different look then most ski movies. more documentary style. with actually seeing the places that they visit. but i guess if you are not in to that then it wouldn't be your thing.

i got in for free. I thought it was pretty cool. A different perspective than most ski movies though. If you appreciate the ski culture you would like it.

warren miller movies blow. ill probly see it though and then afterwards ill be like why the fuck did i just waste money on that shit. they are so boring.

The first ski movie I ever watched was a warren miller on a trip to big sky. That was the trip I did my first rail I think. His movies are pretty boring but probably the most well known with the general public.

its worth seeing just cause its a warren miller movie and its alot different than the other movies. they had some good skiers like abma, seth, olenick, and that obermeyer guy is sweet, and glen plake is awsome. but overall it wasnt that good, there was like 30 minuites of it that i liked out of like an hour and a half, and the rest is just shitty powder skiing and dumb stuff. but its worth seeing for the 30 minuites of good stuff.

i just got back from premiere in Van. sold out show, pretty cool. just reminds me of the good ol' days when i got pumped on watching warren miller cuz it was the only shit around. dont go in with huge expectations just go in too watch some good skiing and just a cool vibe.

you guys forget where you get your roots from. Warren Miller was the original shit....

Warren's movies arnt your typical, throw on a fancy song and roll some film. They have a story line, a meaning and a theme to every shot.

If you look at his series of Movie's he captures culture, the current trend and a little bit of the dieing past. Its not about 100 percent park. 100 percent powder. or 100 piste. Its about the ski scene as a WHOLE.

Watch this video and tell me what you get out of it........

Then go watch the hit list............

tell me the different things you get out of it. its just as simple as that.
