i think warren miller is an amazing man he is over 80 and still skiies and he produces some of the best ski movies out there.

i think he produces some great flicks and its admirable that hes still skiing in his "old age" but hes not a god like some ppl treat him as, idk just my opinion
 
i babysit his grand kids and i have met him once he is just like you would think he would be like, he is just all around a nice guy
 
he gets respect from me cause without him who knows where movies about our sport would be. You could argue this but i think he pretty much started ski movies and helped develope them to what we now know
 
Not true there is a club of 80+ year old skiers at heavenly and a few of those guys are fucking crazy.

Like dangerous crazy.
 
His movies showed me what was possible in skiing and got me excited to get more into it. People on here sometimes bitch because he's not the most core but showcasing the sport to the general public is also important. The only thing I don't respect is that he sold his name and 'Warren Miller' movies are no longer made by him. That and the purchased PBP footage. But overall much respect. Even his narration gets me stoked.
 
his stuff is amazing..its different then anything else and i dont think anybody will ever be able to replicate his movies
 
my great uncle who just died at 86 of cancer used to rip Huevos Grande at mammoth (65 degrees or something like that) just as well as anybody else there until he was 84. theres plenty of old dudes who still shred the gnar
 
he is a badass. there would be TGR, MSP, L1P, PBP without warren. im not really into his movies now...but when i was younger they were the shit
 
his movies really portray the skiing lifestyle to everyone. and not just the badass freestyle lifestyle, like every type of skiier out there
 
my god the 1st half of this entire fucking thread is all hate and bashing ppl....wtf??? ....but about the TOPIC...i think that his movies are fun to watch and i think hes a good producer.

warren miller is classic. he helped me really get into skiing with his movies.
 
He makes flicks for the general public not hard core ski bums. He makes good movies but they aren't my thing
 
He was making ski movies before all of the modern producers were even in cribs. That firstly deserves mad respect.

Secondly, he survived through all the times, inculding when skiing was about to die. That deserves even more respect.

Thirdly, he has influenced the way ALL action films are made. If warren miller did not exsist ski/snowboard/mountain bike moives would not be what they are today.This makes him the big daddy of ski movies.

Warren Miller has loved skiing all his life, and his love did not change for anything that happend in the world. He also open most peoples eyes to new school skiing in Freeriders. Skiing owes sooo much to Warren Miller. The end.
