Warren Miller Has Ruined Skiing

i have. i realize this is a joke, but if you (OP) have the time to write this I assume you're probably a middle aged man googled "ski forum", made an account, and wants to complain about how our generation of skiing has ruined it with tall tee's and such.

as a side note, if this was a serious post, did he watch the new warren miller film? it was primarily powder skiing - no tall tee's or fulltilt's there. just sayin'

But seriously, doubles are actually getting to the point where they can be tweaked and played with. I doubt the first cork 9s, misty 7s, and switch 9s were the most stylie things either. Skiing will keep progressing with style and dificulty at different paces as they always have.

also the man sold out by no means, people were forcing him out, and he was getting older. so like most people he decided to retire! it is NORMAL. blaming him for ruining skiing is basically like blaming mark twain for all the shitty books we have now, or barry bonds for all of the steriods in baseball. it is not the fault of one person you idiot. there are multiple groups of people who were paid, other than warren, to find talent and then go out and film. if you believe anything else you are just ignorant.

everyone knows the movies basically suck now without his voice, but the absence of his narration is most likely his way of saying fuck you to all of the bigshots at WME for pushing him out. Warren Miller is, and always will be, a god in the skiing world for what he has accomplished. and anyone who attempts to tarnish that legacy CLEARLY doesnt know what the hell theyre talking about and doesnt belong in the skiing world anyways

it was an intresting point you brought up, but i feel that warren miller has in no way shape or form "ruined" our sport, he has brought it to a new and exciting level and thats not a bad thing. yea it would be nice if smooth and styley tricks won events, but theres nothing wrong wtih a little technical trickery
