Warren Miller-Flow State

Sucks Warren's good name is tainted by the BS that is put together by WME. I wish more people (aka the gapers & such) realized Warren has nothing to do with these movies.
 
Still fun to see either way! Just gives you something to look forward to. I'll be at the November 16th show in Reno. Anyone else?
 
only reason i am going to the premiere is that it comes with a free canyons pass. other than that its not that great
 
why not? The movies get better every year. Out of every company they are doing the most for skiing.
 
these movies are produced with bought footage and small unique segments.. who cares if warren isnt a part of it. Without movies like this for the general public, the ski industry wouldnt have rich gapers buying all the latest stuff driving the ski economy. Without their dollars going into the resorts, we wouldnt have terrain parks. Every one of us on here is a poor ski bum and we need these gapers to offset us scammin for free tickets and cheap equipment.
 
I really dont think a WME flick is going to change to many rich gapers minds on what they are going to buy/do.
 
Not saying I know everything but it's amazing how little people know and just "speculate" on and talk as fact.
Maybe you should ask there Cine's about this? You'd be amazed that what other companies buy and trade footage as well.
 
Are you joking? Maybe you should go attend a WME premiere, just for the sake of getting an idea of who watches these movies.Ski movies like these, together with companies like Jack Wolfskin, TNF... and their ads generate an enormous potential of people who want to buy cool stuff like Go Pro cameras or expensive skis, jackets and so on. These people are typical city folks with good jobs and little free time. They buy expensive ski jackets not to wear on the mountain, but in the city. Don't think that 17 year old high school kids could uphold the whole freeski/freeride industry.

and to whom said you would be surprised the buy/trade of footage.. it happens all over the place and in the end, we the viewer benefit. Each company making a unique film with all unique footage is expensive. The trade/barter system helps.
 
Honestly I dont know what I was thinking when I wrote that. Maybe because I took what he said that if WME stopped rich people wouldnt buy stuff altogether which obviously wouldnt be true.
 
my uni ski club is screening this. anyone in the lehigh valley, pa should definitely come out
