The tail (the flat behind the binding..not the actual tail tip) on one of my skis is no longer flat. When i put it against a flat surface, it is bent upward! Now..correct me if im wrong, but isnt it supposed to be flat or slightly down curving? Will this affect my skiing? what do i do? ..thanks for any help!

warm your ski up and put it in a vise and bend it back

interesting problem... at the rental shop I work at in Whistler I saw this happen a few times with pocket rockets. They just totally bend if you hit a bump hard enough - what shitty skis they are indeed.

Anyways, the company should totally warranty them, if not then just cause a big stink, and something should get done about it.

ya man, just had a guy bring a pair of k2's into my shop that were bent, they warented them for him, are they your lines? if so i dont understande how they could bend, they have no metal in them, o well, send them into line

I had a problem kinda like that w/ my atomics, and the warranty gave me brand new skis... it just took like over a month before they came into the shop

mine did that too...it was an atomic low end race ski...and i just ignored it....didnt affect my skiing at all, but you could probably get it waranteed...dont touch it unless it's really bad

if its really small just try binding it back, we do it all the time with downhill race skis

skir216: yea..they are mt lines..im not sure how they are bent either since they have a pure wood core..im afraid that maybe the core cracked of is starting to break at that point..ya know what i mean? like when u bend a stick and it cracks..its broken..but its not snapped

nah i got ya, that might very well be what happend and just the edges and ptex are holdin the ski together, powder that deffinitly works with racing skis or most of them since they contain some metal, and metal bends easy, so ya maui send em back to line, that should give you a new pair for sure, prob next years also :)
