k guys so seperating your skies doesnt even work anymore. i got my skies jaked today when i went inside for like 5mins not even kidding. so i would tell you to buy that shitty lock and use it. and especially do this if you coming up to tremblant

Damn, that sucks. I'm going to Big Sky and Vail this year, i think i'll buy a lock to be on the safe side.

Those cable locks that clip in can be undone faster than it would be to actually unlock them. If the thief really wants your gear then he can simply undo the lock. They don't work good.

People suck. I ski at a small but SICK mountain where everyone knows each other. No one takes skis from another there. This is the reason I stopped going to Keystone and Vail and Beaver Creek. TO many tools out there. I wish the resorts could step up and try to do something about this. Every year it seems to get bigger and bigger. WTF!

people that steal seriously piss me off. it's not your stuff. it's that simple. it's not yours so what the hell makes you think that taking it is ok? it pisses me off cause no matter what it is that gets stolen it's like they have no idea how hard you had to work for it, or how much it means to you, or that you might not have the means to replace it. bottom line: don't steal dammit!

wow that is weak. i feel bad for you. i dont get how someone could watch you diliberatly separate your skis and then go up and take them... i mean obviously you really like those skis and spent some $ on them. thats real mean...

I always lock my skis up, but at the rate things are going I feel like that will not stop people from bringing cutters and jacking your skis anyway. I may just start wearing my skis into the lodge.

wow sucks thats what great about mtn creek free ski check they'll hold em for you for free maybe more mountains should have that

Telluride's got a sweet ski valet. I always use that, nothing like having some guy watch your skis for free while you get a bite to eat.

wow that is so shitty. i have never heard of this happening at my mountain. i take my shit in the lodge with me just to make sure though. if i get bitched at i just say someone stole my last pair of skis and its not happening again...definitely bring em in with you next time cause there are a bunch of assholes out there...its sad

I just bought one of those locks yesterday. Looks pretty weak, but I guess it's beter than nothing.

I never understood why seperating your skis would help - someone could be watching you do it.

thats low. sorry that sux. i havent heard any cases on the east coast lately. if u think about wat was goin thru the kids mind, its pretty lame. obviously u were being watched, or it was planned for a little time. but who goes to a mountain to jack skis. u shoulda went huntin

anyone know if sunday river is bad with gettin stuff stolen???

i remember reading somewhere around here that is was bad but can anyone confirm?

I warned this lady about stealing at Okemo this past week. she was like oh.. I've just been leaving my stuff laying around. hopefully she's got a little sense now. I was arguing with my friend about it.. he thinks it's a waste to watch your gear in the lodge and to lock skis outside. hopefully he never gets stuff stolen.

go buy a cheap bike lock from walmart they are made out of chain so they fit in a pocket great and you cant break them like cable locks... ( i have seen a cable lock be broken with NO tools or anything) the bike locks at wallys world are cheap i only payed 3$ for mine,, the only down side is they come with a preset combo.

ya dude that sucks, my two friends rented  house at vail and it said they couldnt bring their snowboards inside so they were nice and left them outside and they both got stolen.

yeah same at wawa up in MA free ski check as many times ya want for how long ya want. but its still a stealing meca if you dont lock your shit up or ski check it.

ive been paying a dollar for ski check most of the times when i travel, getting skis stolen is the worst!!!

sorry about your skis getting stolen seems like it happens so often now

Word. Me and my other friend (steez_nips) were going in for a quick say hi to Sam (SamCaylor) at Baker, we each gave each other one ski, put them in very different spots, came back to see that one of the pairs of our skis (one of mine, one of his) had been jacked. Luckily, some guy saw that his kid was stealing that shit and gave it back to the office or some shit like that. Overall, not very impressed with people stealing.

she said it was at Tremblant.

Pis si j'en pogne un calisse a voler le stock de n'importe qui. y va chier dans ses culottes, crissement.

vails good i see aramdas laying around on the floor just there and no one touches them, and i put my armadas where i can see them but normally its all good there

i dont think someone would actually rip that thing apart infront of a bunch o people. i kno i wouldnt if i were a theif. who knos wat goes through those fuckers minds tho.

Yep. At my mountain no one even knows what twin tips are, so they are sort of viewed as worthless by most of the crowd.

No they will. They really arent that hard to break really just a quick jerk will break them and youd be surprised at the things that people don't notice are going on. Like that one thread said, you should set up a sting op and beat the shit out of the fuckers that stole it

Trust me... you'll be surprised how much theft goes on in broad daylight.

If you saw a guy yanking on his lock, would you say anything? If he said it's broken/he forgot the code, you wouldn't know whether to believe him or not, and you wouldn't say anything in case you were wrong.
