i got some candy grind workmans gloves that work really well. keep my hand super warm and are really durable. not super expensive either like hestras.

Dakine baron mitt, i have these exact ones, ridiculously warm and also gore tex so you can't go wrong. The past season ones can usually be bought decently cheap compared to hestras.

Definitely mitts. I have leather choppers with wool liners, and I wear thin wool under gloves. The under glove is key so if you ever take your mitt off your hand isn't totally exposed

Anybody know of a warm pair of gloves with a wrist strap to prevent dropping when they're removed?

Can't tell if serious.

Hestra's are by far the best. I used the Dakine Filmore mitt and it is very warm for how lightweight and inexpensive it is.

Hestra 3-finger Seth Morrison Pro. I have poor circulation and these keep me pretty warm. They have wrist strap things so you can take them off without having to worry on the lift. They have more padding than my old race gloves too. Tree busting galore.

North face gloves they're called the montana gloves I think. But they were 70$ when I got them and they're really nice.
