Warm weather wax? Help

im up at hood feeling awefully slow and looking to grease these puppies up finally. Who knows what is the best warm weather wax? like 40+ degrees

Thanks +K for help

Wrong the make a yellow wax is for 32+ but unless your racing and care about seconds use any wax it doesn't matter.

IRON-on Purl slush (yellow) & bit o' graphite.

If you ever find something called "Silver Surfer" use it. Don't breathe/touch/eat/huff/insert it though.

ch8 would be way more appropriate then ch7, but in general just use ch10 or any warm weather wax. wax really does make a huge difference on your skis

It kind of does usually the dark green or really dark color is for cold wax, and the really bright colors are for warm wax.

if you buy the bulk stuff it's almost always blue for cold and red for warm and white is the even more generic stuff that's cheap for cleaning bases.

in cross country skiing it's all colour coded.

green for really cold

blue for just below freezing to moderately cold

red for about freezing

purple for warm

generally about that. although exact temperatures depend on wax type/brand.

let me rephrase, color doesnt necessarly make a difference. i know that generally blue is cold and yellow is warm, but saying get yellow in "x" situation is pointless because there isnt a universal scale for determining wax colors

take, for example, board side down wax. they make two all temperature waxes, one that is blue and one that is red. that right there proves the point that wax color isnt a direct correlation to temperature

that is the shittiest way to wax your skis. its only superficial wax, and doesnt get into the pores at all. it lasts a few runs at a max

yeah ok, wax with taht shit all you want

TBH I always use the blue stuff that says -10°C to -1°C (15-30°F) in every weather. I think that waxing often is a lot more important than choosing the temperature-appropriate wax. I used to use warm weather wax in the spring and cold in the winter, but never noticed any difference. Now I use medium range wax for everything. I wax my skis after five or so days of skiing, and my skis always go way faster than any of my friends'.

So if you never wax your skis, just wax them with something. You will notice a huge difference. If you're already waxing regularly, then sure, start using weather-appropriate wax. You might notice a small difference. I didn't.
