Warm weather / cool weather wax

So I only have cool weather wax, like 28-20 degree and it supposed to be 37 and up tomorrow. Pretty shitty, anyways, should I use my cool weather wax or no wax at all. I don't desperately need wax but it's been a while

Off-temperature wax is better than no wax. The only difference is a few additives and the hardness level, the base is still hydrocarbon (wax).

use your cool weather wax, then do a really good job scraping it. You don't want any of that wax leftover, you just want the moisture put into your bases.

bad idea it will slow you down. its a very hard wax and when snow is warm and soft it will not run smoothly on the base.

I've found if the temperature is well off on the wax then they ski slower than being dry.

But... you shouldnt let your bases get too dry because the ptex fibres will fray and your base will need grrrrrrrrrrinding.
