Warm temps in the summer = ?

I'm pretty sure that we have all heard that warm temps in the summer usually result in cold temps in the winter. Here in N. Y we are having a really warm summer, does that have any known link to cold temps this winter? Just a question

not at all.......there is no way warm temps in the middle of the summer mean a cold winter, there is just no physical connection

I dont think there is any way to scientifically prove that it results in cold winters, but it definitely seems like it tends to happen.

Fuck this warm weather. Its 90 degrees and humid today, 97 tomorrow, 100 on friday, and 95 on saturday. And its gonna be humid as fuck each day.

who cares about cold winters?

fact: warm summers = warmer bodies of water = less time staying frozen in the winter = more lake effect snow

We aren't having that warm of a summer in NY. I have spent the last and first 17 years of my life in NY and this summer is pretty typical. June was actually a little cooler than average.

We are just having a little dry spell and this heat wave coming up over the weekend shall pass pretty quickly.

No need to start cringing because ITS SUMMER

everything balances out we had a really cool wet spring this year in michigan, and now we are having a really hot dry summer, my bet is winter will be near average this year

Haha. I remember back in our below average April and May all of my friends were bitching about winter and how they couldn't wait for summer. Guess what my status update is filled with now.

I don't know if there's a link between summer and winter but all I can say is that I sure hope that next winter is going to be awesome because last on sucked balls.

yes there is dumbass. great lakes get warmer and stay warmer throughout winter makes more lake effect snow
