War (Rant)

Yah I'm not saying that you're wrong about that. I never did. If you want to go into multinational corporate exploitation so deeply then yes, you're quite correct. But what I was meaning earlier, is how is this relevant to the situation in Iraq?

i can't believe whoever said eye for an eye, get those 9/11 guys, or whatever..... do you realize that the 1300 ppl who died on 9/11 is a small fraction of the civilians that the US kill from 'precision targeting' bombs that the USAF drop all over the middle east?... i think you've got your 'revenge', if that's what you want to call it.

oh yah, and canada has had wars. remember 1812? yah, we kicked the US's ass. but anyway, i think it's pretty hard to separate this war from capitalism, only because this war is about the economy and nothing else.

oh yah, and anyone who votes because it is their 'duty to vote' is as big a traitor as someone who doesn't... because you have to know what you're voting for. ok, if i don't agree with either candidate, i would still go to the ballot box and void my slip. i wouldn't vote for one or the other because it's my duty... what kind of democracy is that? but i voted for the the GREEN PARTY in the last election!! go green.

yah, in fact, you've killed many more. i don't mean in direct occurence after 9/11. i mean your worldwide reign of terror.

THIS WAR IS NOT ABOUT THE GOD-DAMN ECONOMY!

And the US aren't doing right royal fuck all in the middle east. Perhaps that where they should step in rather than Iraq.

whoaaaaaaa, are you trying to say that George Bush's agenda isn't to control the oil coming out of the middle east? because there is no other reason that the US would take such a defiant stance on 'terrorism', resorting to a full out war, if they weren't going to lose some money. first they hid their intentions behind Kuwait's livelihood, now they are hiding it behind terrorism. afterall, they are the root of their own problem. these recent attacks aren't random, unprovoked situations. obviously, the ppl of the middle east feel strongly against the US's self imposed dictatorship there.

I know exactly where your coming from. I spent the first 15-16 years of my life coming from that same angle before I started to read and anylize and realized that I was wrong. SUpilot congrats you just said something else retarted. The americans have killed thousands of people in the middleeast. Even since 911 the us bought control of the only satalite over afghanastan, why do you think that is? They also asked large networks to show minimal violence. Did you ever see the buildings being destroyed in the gulf?? No you didn't did you?? The media does not humanize war in the middle east. You see tanks and small explosions from a distance. You don't see the horror of the camps, you don't see the people after their homes have been blown up. You need to realize that every economic policy evolves over time consumerism is under the big umbrella of capitalism, to argue otherwise is just nit picking

abubboo, did I ever say that?? No, no I did not.

And C-lo, you're exactly right. How else would parliment ever be able to rally support if CNN prime-time showed coverage of arms and legs lying on the ground, guys with their brains falling out, little malnourished kids dying from starvation and disease in camps, 'military' targets being bombed etc etc etc.
