War of Rails new video by Bear Mtn.

that was fucking sick. agreed the name implies it would be a rail jam, i would call it slopestyle-like. but regardless that was awesome and i hope to see more events like this

that was fucking lame. next time you hold a rail contest, actually make sure its a rail contest. fucking embarrassing for skiing.

that looked like the sickest contest ever. that's exactly what a sick jam should be-- tons of different features and options and transitions to choose from, with everyone doing all kinds of cool and different shit. and one of the most popular tricks was a huge badass rodeo transfer. it's like the perfect contest. you guys hating are crazy

that was really sick, one of the best comps/setups/tricks , the all around, i have seen in a long time...

id way rather watch some dude go 15 feet in the air inverted onto a rail then watch some kids do 8 different switch ups on a dfd park rail.

Keep in mind this wasn't randoms from the east coast or the Midwest or wherever these were some of the most stylish up and coming guys out there they deserve more then a dfd park rail or a down box to showcase there skills.

why dont you read your statement again and think about it for a while. "The cannon rail was not a rail" alright. your an idiot

seemed like a sick comp either way. Rails or jumps. was real tight. except the dub

am I the only one who thought that was ridiculously sick? taking that wallride to flat? great edit and comp.

All I know is that Phil did his motherfucking thing...I had no idea who competed in this comp, but I knew Phil was there from his first shot.
Is the name really apt and on point? No, not really...does that mean a whole hell of a lot? Apparently to some people it does...not to me it doesn't. I agree with the general sentiment that—despite any inaccuracy in naming—this was a cool change of pace from the snooze fests that have become slope contests. Could it be better, would I enjoy seeing some more tech, flowy, stylish "pure jibbing"....sure. That doesn't mean though that this contest wasn't a step in the right direction. It takes balls for organizers and sponsors alike to put time, energy, and money into an event that breaks away from the status quo...hopefully comps like this, the masters, and others will really gain steam and we'll see more of a shift away from guys spinning and flipping as much as possible off of kickers, and a renewal of creativity in terms of what's possible on skis.
Lastly, that wallride to bomb drop of death was the tits. Pleeeease keep that.

Jesus christ. Can we all shut the fuck up and quit bitching over stupid shit? Enjoy the video of a sick contest and quit bitching over whether or not it should of been called war of the rails.

you are so above everyone else. thank you for your almighty opinion theron. this thread just would not have been complete without it.

My point is that it doesn't matter, its just skiing. People are going to bitch about everything and anything, whether it be tricks, comp results, companies or what ever else tickles your hate filled fancy. If you start getting caught up in all of it skiing will end up sucking.

With the level of skiing being what it is today, its inevitable that aerials will go down on a supremely built rail jam setup.

Fuck the haters, that was sick, and its great that that was done at Bear, its about time skiing had a bigger presence there. Thanks Craig!
