Wanted: Graphic Designer(s)

Heya, I need some simple(ish) vector graphics done and I figured I'd try and keep the money in NS instead of going somewhere else. No fast schedule just like, a week or so turn around time turning my concept drawings into vectored jpg's.

I can pay you cash or give you web hosting service in exchange for your work. Mostly graphics for a clan portal but some for my smallbusiness as well (its not a graphic design business, dont worry :P) I also have a friend who's developing a RPG game and needs simple graphic work done for that if you're looking for a bigger project.

I'd do it myself but im overseas and I don't have my tools with me. If you're interested reply here with a link to your site/portfolio or whatever, or shoot me a PM/email.

There are definitely tons of talented people on here that will do great work. We have some amazing artists, and you wont be disspointed with whoever ends up working with you.

You might want to check out the Graphic Designers cult and make a post there. Ill send a message to the master and get you an invite.
 
Yeah and the fact that it will save you $$$ as well doesn't matter right? It's all the people like you that keep all the talented young graphic designers living as ski bums, they never get fully compensated for their work, and EVERYone tries to bum

off their artistic ability/skills.
 
Wow. That's ignorant. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything, I have no friends here who are graphic designers and would feel obligated to do anything for me other than for money. So I don't really see your point. Theres no coercion going on here, lol.
 
Or maybe he's giving opportunities to younger people who wish to be a graphic designer but have not had an opportunity to make anything of their work?
 
This kid is just trying to make a point, just make sure you hook up the person that designs for you. Good graphic design work is sooo underrated.
 
Listen. I could go to elance.com right now and pay a random indian or romanian dude $2.50 to do everything I said up top in 5 minutes. But I don't feel like

a) supporting a sweatshop-like graphic design firm

b) doing business with people who don't speak english and can't work with me

So why don't you guys just relax a little bit. I recognize talent and its not like I've tried to lowball anyone. I donate to NS, I give away hosting to NS users, and I wouldnt be in business if I didn't treat people right. Ask yourself what YOU'VE done to help anyone or anything because I've given cash and exposure to awesome designers on more than a few occasions. I understand you're concerned but you have no reason to hate on me when I hemmorage money to sites just like this because I believe in their cause.

Peace man and please if you're a designer try and ignore this flame war because I'm just looking to get a job done, and I'm not a douche like this guy may think.
 
^I'm not trying to start anything, just making a point, and you defended yourself nicely. I'm sure a good designer would get some good exposure/compensation working with you. Cheers.
 
i think that is more the fault of designers not getting out and looking less than the people looking for work to get done.
