So I have read a ton of books on his life and other things that may have influenced his actions. It seems very likely (although not proven) that he took some sort of hallucinogen before he had his prophetic visions.

Funny enough this very plant grows wild in my backyard right next to my pumpkin patch. So NS, do I eat the plant and create my own religion?
 
well if you know about joseph smith at all... he started his religion on the east coast, then made the trek west with his whole clan. then, in illinois he got sent to jail, which ended up getting raided and he got killed. then the followers of the mormon religion were like "kay, peace bro" and mobbed to SLC.

simple as that. if that's what you want to happen to you, be my guest...

is Datura the shit that scopolamine is made from? if so, makes sense.. watched a crazy documentary on that shit a few days ago.

Seems pretty unpleasant to me, the wiki page doesn't make it sound fun.

If you want the same kind of effects take 30+ benadryls. BTW, these deliriant antihistamines aren't fun or good for you, at all.
