Want a stiff ski. jumps and rails and going fast.

S4's end thread! They are amazing park skis. Incredibly durable, i've put just under 15 days on mine and there isn't any sign that they have been ridden in the park. Just buy em, you won't regret it.

Oh and I have the 174's, mounted centre, i'm 5'8 130lbs (60kg) so i'm the exact same size as you and i love them. Ski really stable, super light swing weight, great on jumps and rails. Definitely mount either +5 or centre (about +6).
 
I just skied knee deep Montana Pow two days in a row on my 2007 Rossi Scratch FS. I ride everything on them (mostly because I'm too poor to afford new skis) and they do fine. Somedays I wish they were a bit wider, but I've never had a problem staying on top of deeper snow if I keep my speed and tips up.
I can attest to how bulletproof these skis are. I've hit countless rocks and rails and I have only had one core shot (cliff drop to rock, my ski stuck to the rock. . .) but that was easy to ptex out.
I'm glad to finally see a thread where people appreciate this line of skis. All I ever see is hate for rossi, but they make legit gear--As opposed to Line. All my friends have Line skis and they have to patch core shots pretty often. My friend trashed his Anthems and his Blends are halfway to hell from skiing the same runs that I do with my Rossis.
If I had the money, I'd be riding a new pair of S4's.
P.S. Don't get Marker 11 bindings . . . I have them. They are trash. If you want to keep your skis on when you crash off a park jump, but double eject when you carve hard on a groomer, get the Marker 11.
 
If I were you, I would try to demo the S4 and the Revivals and see which you like better. That or check prices for both, and get the cheaper. Both sound like dope skis
 
i can get both at the same price. 450 canadian.

the revivals are a little longer and seem more suited to the rest of the mountain. but the s4's look like an awesome ski for jumping!
 
Were pretty much same size (i'm 5'8-9 and 130lbs or 58klg), and I have no problems with the 174, perfect size, really stable, still spins well on and off rails cus their so light.
