i think its good except the skiers in it arent in the pbp movie but i guess that doesnt really matter.

Okay, so I realize this is a hard deadline sort of thing, but is there any chance I can beg for a few hour extension? It's only 4:30 on the West Coast and I'm still at work.
 
ah fuck yeah thanks a ton. and the epic one supposed to be an ad for NS, not the PBP movie sooo i kinda just used skiers that everyone on NS knew... NS-made-famous i guess...
 
I'm not at work but I just got back from an outing and I need a little more time. It's 5:15 here and I just got enough footage and I'm editing as I type.

Just got some word from PBP, and Its REALLY important that you guys read this:

"Please be aware that music licensing these days is a huge issue and that anything that is used should be cleared or have prior permission before handed over to us. it is not our responsibility to clear it for you. All of our sponsors that provide take full responsibility on the music in their commercials. Also with the crediting for the commercial we have surpassed that date and can't put it in the scroll at the end of the movie however at the end of the commercial is no problem. We are excited to see what the community comes up with and let us know if we can help with any cross-promotions."

So the biggest thing is music rights. You NEED to have licenced music in the ad.

Ummm... yeah so this will probably end up being a big thing.

Check the link in my signature... you can download the EP from Smoked Meat Fax Machine and use one of those songs. I can certainly get the rights to it.

 
all music is licensed, along with sound effects (I made them)

seeing as how I was drunk when I came up with the script and idea and the actual idea was 5 minutes long, cutting it down into a 1 minute-er was probably not such a good idea. But if you like it and are interested in super super super cheesy/parody-like epicness then go ahead and watch it.

I made two of them, basically the same. About the music rights. Song is by h-mob, the ones he put out for free a little bit back. He is on ns, so i'm sure it wouldn't be to big of a deal for him to allow it to be used but I have no idea.

The first one I could actually see being an ad, just fix how you spelled store and don't put come check it out at the end.

And someone needs to make a video that like...

Person 1 "Awe dude! I just stomped a sick switch 10 in the back country!"

Person 2 " Pics or it didn't happen."

Person 1 " I did have it on film with my 'red' camera, but my iMovie HD Pro would let it run on my computer!"

Person 2 " You just got pwned!"

Person 1 " Yeah, your right..... But did you hear about nipples getting a girl pregnant?"

Person 1 "Yeah, Nipples is so hawt right now. No homo.
 
is the contest over? i dont know if the song in my vid is free license, but i wouldnt be able to get the rights if its licensed anyways, and neither would anyone else unless its a small artist
 
thats a late kick to the balls... haha. im pretty sure seeing the guy who did this music does it for multi-million dollar movies, it'll take more than a week to get the license.
 
why should we have to deal with copyrights...were already making the ad for you guys! and its not like we have the money for that

I have the license to the music. I dunno about Vimeo though, it took almost as long to upload this spot as it did to create it.
 
I love yours holte, but its really only funny/makes sense to people who are already active, you probably didnt me to tell you that, but yeah.... whatever... cause its too late to not post since ive already typed all of this out, I mean, wasted effort is bad amirite?~
 
Yeah I really should have throught of this at the beginning... because yeah you're right music is hard to come by.

But... if we've got a really good one we like, I'll bet we could change the music for something we've got rights to. Fuck I could write an ambient track in the background easy...
