well i was just wondering if anyone knows any info on them. freeskier said they are a great ski and "jibs" and turns well. they also rated it the highest in their park ski test, but didnt really give a good description on how the ski really is. so i was just wondering what you guys know about it?

thanks

The Wall is such a solid ski! Poppy off lips, stable on landings and at high speeds. You need to work a little to butter on them tho. Really good at riding switch too!

I would suggest these skis to anyone, best park ski's I ever rode.

^how is the flex compared to other skis such as the invader or the disorderly(which is a little stiffer than the invader)

They're way stiffer than invaders. Invaders and Walls are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm not sure if this is true, but the Wall is probably one of the stiffest park skis on the market.

Volkl as a company makes pretty stiff skis. I have the Karmas, essentially the same ski and love them. They are super stable at high speeds, have a raised tip and tail for not getting caught up in crud, which makes them great for switch skiing (also symetrical). Walls are great as an all around park ski, and hold up well to use. My bases are still decent after 2 full seasons. The production quality is high too, which makes them pretty expensive. Not recomended for urban only, but as a one ski for all-mountain and park, these rock.

so not to dis because i love it but, don't trust the freeskier mag reviews. it's all a bunch of crap. they'll rate a ski a 9.5 one season and the next rate it a 4.5 the next when nothing about the ski has changed but the graphic. it's an unreliable source when it comes to ski reviews in my opinion.

Very true.

However, in the case of the Walls, they have received near universal praise on NS. The only complaints I have ever read were in regards to the durability issues with the 08 model.

I'm planning on getting a pair of the 09's today!!

Yeah i read alot of strange reviews in freeskier and wondered what was up. well i guess i wont trust them anymore and it looks like its anthems for me

i rode on them all last year. so nice riding switch and a stable ski. really durable too. i had the jester bindings and it was pretty sick center mounted. the shitty thing though was if there was any crud at all like more than 4 inches the tips would just dig in and id go over the front. if you have a crud ski or just plan on using it in the park the ski is perfect.

it is all over the place, but i got to test/rate skis for a review (shitty local ski rag) and can say to some extent, the conditions, the skier, and what you're doing with them makes a huge impact on how they ski.

i love my anthems, but in test, at a mountain with no park, on an icy day, i wanted to rate them like 2 out of 10 too. its all so subjective and there are so many factors that play into it.

im like 5'5" and im gonna get the walls...i was wondering what length i should get....either 161 or 169....im like 130 lbs....about 90% park and the rest east coast groomed....thanks.....and also do you think i should get the Salomon STH 12's or 14's.....thanks

ath 12's, and go with the 69's how old are you? still growing a little? id get the about forehead to an inch above you height, cause since theyre centered they ski shorter than their actuall length.

the karma is not symmetrical..

i love my karmas, they beast everything,

if i needed a park ski id get walls fo sho

I just got some pairs of völkl Wall 08/09, and its the best ski I've ever tried. So stabil, and real good switch. Recommend these.
