Walls or Dumonts

Working at An RCR resort this winter so what park skiing i do will be on rails.....and a few jumps which we build somewhere. Working at Nakiska with a couple of day trips to lake louise etc,,so still gunna be doin mostly park.

I am exactly 181cm tall and 72kgs. (still not sure on size) and an advanced skier but a beginner in the park.

Still deciding on bindings Was thinking either jesters, Z-12's or STH 12.....

Yea ive heard that the Dumonts are not that great on rails, I.E. you blow your edge pretty easy. Havent heard much about the wall, but what I have heard has been positive.

i had ar6's and dumonts. i skied my ar6's on rails every run and when i skied my dumonts i barely slid rails. my dumonts edges cracked really easily and fell out. not a good rail ski

You have to keep in mind, your walls will be mounted dead center, so the difference between a 177 and a 185 will be only 4 cm on either end. My experience with volkl is that they are really solid, but I've heard this year a lot of people's volkls came apart already.

I'm as tall as you, but heavier and not much of a parkskier either. I would get the 185's, and I might do. Reno jib's are my first choice, depending on the shipping costs and delivery time to Europe.

The longer ones will be harder in the beginning but you'll learn and be happy with it in the longer-ish run.
