I don't know any details whatsoever, but the "Boarders" HATE on the skiers real bad I guess. I"m sure there is a good story there.
 
I'm a local, and there is quite a few unsavory cats who board... and I agree with Tom on that aspect. But he could have worded it a bit better without mention Bear as a whole, and just the group who he was addressing.

its lame for wallisch to be talking shit on bear, but its also lame for the snowboarders to just hate on skiers because they ski. can't we all just get along guys ):
 
hhaha. yeah bateman is a fuckin dirty greaser, but it's nothing to get angry over. it's just 2 totally opposite styles/viewpoints conflicting. bear has been snowboard dominated forever and money of the people who ride there don't want that to change
 
When a group of snowboarders follow u around all day just to talk shit, Then go to a ski afterparty just to talk more shit, then send your scum of a WIFE to talk shit to a pro skier, that's pretty ridiculous and about the lowest thing in life besides being a meth-head, which he already is. They were rightfully called out for doing nothing with their lives... Compared to top notch pro skiers and college graduates. Now that's being a role model
 
bear snowboarding (all of socal for that matter) = fashion show. seriously, theyre pretty terrible, like laughably bad. congrats wallisch, course was so ill.
 
someone needs to send Bear a link to that kids post, and a short note about his actions at the comp. Tell em that this has become a PR nightmare for Bear and that they need to pull this guys pass or skiers will never be customers there.

The major thing is, Bear had a huge ski competition come to town with some of the top skiers in their respected areas, only to fear all day that some kids would sucker punch them out of nowhere. How are you going to cater to professional athletes at your mountain when they risk getting an edge to the head by some dickhead snowboarders ? Cant have a hostile environment for a competition. We should only have to worry about the danger of breaking our necks on rails.
 
Wow. That's impressive, nothing to do with skier/snowboarder rivalry (is there any anymore?.. apparently) but acting as such makes me believe the pre-teen is just a dead-beat. He isn't going to change, but he'll be gone soon enough...meth? San Bernardino at its best . Best part is he has no room to trash Wallisch, or any actual 'pro' for that matter, seeing as how he's just a bum, hasn't made a name for himself. Does he trash Vito, Mitrani's, Toutant, Horgmo, Bang, Helgasson, Bailey and Paul? Pretty lame.

they're all pretty big scumbags over there. it's a scientific fact that when they're not all sharing each other's wives that they're running around drunk and angry punching walls.

bear is one of the most chill atmospheres ever, this is just miscommunication. I have never experienced beef between skiers and snowboarders.
 
Wow man I just dont understand why people are so adamant on hating against other people in the community.

Wallisch to me seems like genuinely a nice guy who has been the most succesfull pro skier in the last 4 or 5 years. Not just on the comp scene but also he has been releasing consistenly amazing segments every year.

I guess people are just jealous of his talent and success.
 
Bear locals are stuck in the 90's. Road there for years before moving to CO.

Broke a binding once so I had to get a pair of rentals. Walked into the snowboard shop (didn't know the ski rentals were in a separate one) and asked for a pair. Not even kidding they laughed at me and just said "Haha we don't help skiers around here." Not in a "you're in the wrong shop kind of way, in a get "get out of here skier" kind of way
 
Your worried about getting hit by Will Bateman and crew? Will Bateman is a drugged out bitch who hasnt showered for 2 weeks not cause he cant but because its cool.
 

none of those dudes were talking shit to casabon when he was there... they were all to busy shitting their pants when they saw that steeze
 
God damn Craig, you were talking about designing your own course that was unique and no one else had seen before and then you create this, that was the sickest thing I have ever seen as a competition course, congrats on the turn out.
 
Last Summer I was the victim of an Assault in a parking lot where going to my car I was suckerpunched from the side/behind and attacked by 5 guys I never saw nor met before in my life. got knocked to the ground at some point and being punched and kicked in the face and managed to get up and fight until a group of bar security guys made it over. Had facial reconstruction. All 5'5 pussies that couldnt fight on their own or even keep a kid to the ground/knock him out.

It takes a bunch of pussies to suckerpunch/talk shit on the mountain/ ride in a crew... Thats EXACTLY why the problem at bear exists. Only a group that low would do something like that and it happens. A snowboard edge or riding suckerpunch will wreck your day, no matter who you are.

dudes were literally calling casabon a f** multiple times in line while he was there filming that edit

luckily casabon is too mellow to care

all i can say is wallisch was VERY much in the right with his feelings towards bear local snowboarders, but probably could have chose his words differently...

then again if you look at the time he posted it to FB, it was shortly after he had to be escorted out from the after party for his own safety due to these d-bags and their skanky chicks

i would be a little pissed too if i was celebrating my 38283238 win of the year with my friends/gf, and i had to leave my own party
 
damn no way. i always thought that bear was really chill, but i guess not. who could ever hate on guys like casabon and wallisch, i mean how could you not be in awe of their bag of tricks and style... even if you are a die hard boarder. shit is mind boggling. and i guess i haven't heard the full story on the after party and what not. what were people to saying/doing to wallisch before, during, and after the comp? was it like the whole mountain, or just some crew of douce bags?
