The fact that Decker is taking a [temporary?] leave is as big a deal as Tom. He is a huge contributor filming, directing and editing L1P's films. Big shoes to fill, but they won't settle for anything but the best.......oh wait, that would be Kyle.

If they don't pick up Dale, they will be failing...

Not saying they can't make an awesome movie without Tom (although, without Decker it will be harder), cause their team is stacked, but Dale is basically the top free agent in the business as far as film companies are concerned, why they wouldn't at least try to pick him up is beyond me.

lol this. did everyone here miss Hornbeck's OPENING segment in Sunny? FUCK that shit was dirt MCGIRT!

they dont need anyone else they already have a very tight crew of over 20 guys. I would rather they focus on making great full parts for their current riders then add anymore new people

I mean sure, Tom throws down in their films but i still think Level 1 can put out an enjoyable and banger filled film without him. If they brought Dale in, that would be super sick.

There are also a lot of younger names moving up and maybe give some of those kids who know down and chance. They will still come out with something good i feel.

I would say that both are about equal . but I really dont think either will be that much of an issue. There is so much talent in front of and behind the lens in that crew that even losing two talents like decker and wallisch level 1 will still make the best movie

to inject a little information in here:

Decker will still be involved with Level 1 to a certain capacity (the dude bleeds L1P). Wally won't want to jib alone all year, so the people who film with him will still get their Decker shots in the next Level 1 flick. He will also be actively involved in the editing of the movie. Of course we're all bummed that Decker won't be on full time, because he's an excellent cinematographer and stand up guy, but we're all super excited for their new opportunity and sure they will fucking kill it. Also pumped that he'll be editing throughout the summer because he's an invaluable part to the Level 1 editing team.

me too.

Case is point, Tom had like 3 shots in After Dark during the "Friends" section...the film was still amazing without him. Decker is a HUGE part of both the filming and editing of the ENTIRE film...gonna be hard to do it without him (not impossible, Berman's still amazing, just harder).

More movie time for Banks than.

Looking forward to the new Level 1 movie already if all of this is changed up

this year's level 1 film is actually an entire film dedicated to Adam Delorme. believe it

THis reminds me was he hurt this year? I was sadface when he wasn't in Sunny.

And as far as wally not being in the new movie I think they'll be fine. I thought I was going to lose some interest after casabon and henrik left, but every year they seem to find new younguns I love watching. I was nervous about decker as well, but if he's going to be just as influential in the editing I think all will work out.

I think wallisch isn't going to in a new movie? At least this season I don't think so. Wallisch is doing his own solo segments which he'll release via Itunes and I think that he plans on just doing like segements or episodes. Not sure on the details and could be wrong on this, but this based off what i read in ESPN.com

Oh, I read it as solo movies. I figured it'd just be something short like 10-15 mins.

gotcha, well its essentially the same thing i suppose. nothing real differnt as they are probably the same lenght. I don't know at what length something goes from a segment to episode to a movie.

This. Its like none of you read the article about this when it came out. The article clearly states multiple times that Decker isnt leaving level 1 and that he will still be filming for them and helping edit/direct this seasons movie. Him and Wallisch are just focusing on their own project because Tom wanted to focus his season on competing and filming for a single video instead of multiple videos. Also this news is probably a month old and a repost to say the least.

the young guns are going to drop so insane stuff this year

Milbocker

Since the ESPN just released the "oficial" news on the subject yesterday, I think this post is very relevant.
