Walking Dead Season 3 Thread

TWD has its moments, it really does. Its a great story with great characters and who doesn't like zombies? But I just feel like it could be so much better. There is too much time wasted on build up. I'll keep watching, but its not likely I'll buy the DVDs or even rewatch it for that matter.

Next season will be better, they have a new writer and he did a couple this season and they were my favorite episodes, so hopefully it will be more badass than its looking up to now.

lol this.

ping pong and his little girlfriend drove off an entire militia with a few poorly placed shots? Worst fucking fire fight i've ever seen

also andrea you dumb bitch maybe you'd still be alive (thank god she isn't) if you didnt spend half a god damn hour contemplating life with the dying nerd instead of focusing on the pliers

who writes this shit?

I think everyone that has watched the show since hte beginning needs to come to the realization that this show will never be as great as those first 6 episodes. They've changed the entire dynamic, opened the show up by incorporating all of these soap opera drama points to attract the masses of tv watchers to put their ratings through the roof and unfortunately it worked

next season opening. Govna dies by martinez shooting him in the face within first 5 minutes. Then zombies herd the prison and kill all the women and children cause they are pussies and used to being protected. Carl burns his hat and rick cries.

Yeah agreeing with everyone else that was one WEAK episode...even worse that it was a finale.

If they don't start the next season strong they'll lose a lot of followers.

Letting the Guvn'r drag on into next season is not a good decision - that plot/character is spent.

yeah and i like how when they came outside the prison again their guns were jammed, they didnt think of leaving anyone outside with the cars? also why what did all of those people think they were gonna do when they got to the prison/ not get in a firefight? it doesnt make sense that they all just wanted to run away as soon as the shit hit the fan, why were they there in the first place to talk? this shit bothers me more than the slow storyline

I really don't think that it was a bad finale... I don't know why everyone is hating so hard.

People died, main characters died, and the Governor went even more insane. Next season they don't need to carry on the woodbury v prison story because there is no woodbury anymore. I am interested to see what they do with the Governor since he doesn't have any army anymore. He obviously will be hungry for revenge still but I feel like they can go a lot of ways with him and the rest of the show.

I was most disappointed that they are staying at the prison. I was really hoping they would leave. I am tired of the prison.

I bet it's another one of those "oh shit look at those beards, so much time has passed" first episode of the season.

I don't see why everyone is hating on it. One of the reasons I love this show is because usually what you expect, doesn't happen. And most of those people didnt even want to fight the governor made them. They took off because they don't know how to fight, they thought it would be a walk in the park and to them it seemed like governor was leading them like sheep for slaughter.

Actually I thought that was surprisingly realistic. After what happened inside the prison I'm not surprised those coddled townspeople lost their shit and started running - that's exactly what I would expect to happen; panic. Shows you that with a decent defensive strategy and a less than disciplined attacking force you can hold off much larger numbers. The problem was the "let's just drive in there and open fire" assault plan, that was just stupid, but then the Governor was a little... unhinged, let's say.

After thinking about it, i understand why they ran off.

The "army" consists of soft men, women and kids who have never been in a combat situation before. Throw some flashbangs, sirens, and spray bullets at em, hell i wouldve ran. Anyone who says otherwise is either a lier or a war vet. If anything, the governor was stupid to bring that many people who have barely shot a gun before, they just created mass panic amongst themselves

That's what i was wondering, or are we just going to keep the this one going until it gets to "Post your latest purchase" length

I dont get all of the bashing on season 3 and the finale.

season 3 had by far the most zombie killing and in the most epic ways.

They raised the bar on the writing and actualy made some pretty poetic episodes like the one where they dont pick up the hitch hiker and find him dead when they come back. Not to mention morgans amazing monologue, brilliant writting and amazing acting.

Season 3 had an awsome dynamic because it wasnt only humans vs zombies, there was also an other human groupe involved. I find this very realistic and awsome to watch.

I think most of the dissapointment you have with the finale is actually good because it shows that the show made you loath the governor and you want to see him dead. I think most people are pissed that he didnt die yet and are taking that as a bad finale.

I like the fact that they brought back the whole town to the prison, its logical and it shows evolution in ricks character. A lot of interesting things can stem from this.

I think too many of you watch this as a movie and expect nonstop action and killing and twists and quick resolution of conflicts. Its a show with hour long episodes. The joy of this, contrary to film, is that you have the time to build solid characters and develop their story, some individual conflicts and have multiple plots and emotional paths surrounding the large plot which is to kill the governor.

But he knows the holes in their defenses.. so the 3 can slip in at night and kill someone in their sleep. I think they will go on a run and get the supplies from Woodbury, but it is not wise to go back and stay.

i don´t know how long those two are gonna stick with him after what he did to the rest of his little "army".

if i were one of them i woulda killed him then to stop the massacre i think. i was suspending my disbelief that they would just let that happen to all their best people and still be like, word govner.

On the last episode of season 2, at the beginning, you see a helicopter fly by. I wonder if this will be brought into Season 4? They had to have shown the helicopter for a reason.

it could have just been a cut from earlier in the season, because it was in a city.

but then again the fact thats in a city might indicate they could go there, which would be awesome.

if it was the governor, there would have to have been mention of it throughout the season3.

I wouldn't doubt that there's a city out there at all. If a place like Woodbury can be held with a small population and a bunch of dependants than there must be some places out there with closer to thousands of people (although it might not be the nicest; food and other necessities might be an issue). Helicopter doesn't seem like the best use of electricity, though.

that would be the same helicopter that crashed, and the governor had killed the military personal who were in the process of rescuing the downed helicopter. it happened in season three, so i doubt it will be brought again into season four.

however, since there was a helicopter and a truck full of army guys rescuing the downed helicopter, it makes you wonder if there is an entire military base still in function somewhere close. maybe some 28 days later type of shit?
