Walkie talkies

My friend can’t find his set so I’m in the market for a new set of walkie talkies. I’m not much of a backcountry guy but they were always good just to have on the resort because cell service sucks. Anyone have any recs for a good brand/model that has good signals in the trees?

I mean I use a BCA link in the backcountry. works pretty good

Baofeng UV5R or its variations. Cheap, reliable and you could use it with almost any walkie talkies on a market (unless they're in different frequency range which is rare).

I have one for 8 years. The only thing I have changed yet is an antenna.
