Waking life

I saw a good movie today, it's called waking life. If you are interested in lucid dreaming this is a great movie. It brings up a lot of good points and makes some interesting theories regarding the human experience and perception, highly recommend it.

yeah it's not for everyone, especially relaly stupid people who need everything spelled out for them, like all the shows on tv for instance.

lucid dreaming? like astral projection? Thats stuff seems cool if its real but i cant belive it being anything more than a load of bs and normal dreams

lucid dreaming is not nessecarily astral projection. Its a fact that it happens. Its happened to me, and you too Im sure.

It is a sick movie, I love the way it looks. Two other good movies about human experience are garden state, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. A trippy movie is Timothey Leary's how to operate your mind. Im pretty sure thats what its called.

i love that movie. I didnt get all of it, but when you understand a part in it you feel like you're on top of the world. It's especially good to watch while under the influence.

i've had mad dreams related to waking life, where i kinda lucid dream, and then remember seeing waking life, and then remember that i am probably dreaming right now...oh man i get all tripped out when i dream, such a good flick

def a must see for those that like to take a thought and drain everything they can out of it...loved it

Oh man I read about it once, and have been dying to see it ever since. It seems like such a sick movie.

And Garden State is like my favorite movie ever. And I haven't seen all of Eternal Sunshine, but what I saw was really sick.

I read like 20 posts by the guy that created this thread, but it still says one post. Did I miss something?

I watched this last week and posted about it. I really enjoyed it, puts so many ideas into your head. Plus the animation is amazing. I really would love to have lucid dreams. I guess before you go to bed, just stare at your hands and slowly you're dreams will become more and more lucid as you countinue to practice. I dunno, I've been doing it every night for the last week and maybe I just have it stuck in my head but my dreams are a little bit more clear and I can usually remember most details

Yeah I used to be a lucid dreamer, but for the last few years I havn't been able to do it very often. Back when I was eating lots of acid I used to have lucid dreams all the time. The infinite posiblilities of being good at lucid dreaming make it worthwhile to at least look into.

I was talking to my friend after watching the movie about mood and how dreams the night before might affect mood. Have you ever had a really good dream where you are rich, covered in girls exc. then you wake up and you are disappointed.

Imagine having a really horrible dream and not remembering it except at a near unconcious level. Perhaps that will put you in a really negative mood all day and you wouldn't even realise it. I just started thinkig about how our dreams affect our waking life and I'm gonna try really hard to start dreaming lucid again.

yeah i'm going to wait till the davinci code comes out on movie... thats about the only lucid dreaming i am willing to do

thats sick, where did you go. Ive read very little about it but it seems so awesome. Could you tell me your experience?

You people make me want to see this movie.. is it on DVD or VHS? Or is it still in the theatre. People are comparing it to Garden state and Eternal sunshine... two of my favorite movies... is it anything like those or is it completely different?

that movie is quite crazy, the ideas of lucid dreaming and they way they are presented, its good stuff

It's on DVD or VHS, it's from a couple of years ago. I haven't seen it, but from what I know, it's not really like either of those. They're just related cause they're deep about human feelings, so I guess a little similar.

Amazing. Very easy to predict where the movie was going, but still a very must see. Right after this im going to to go bed and i dont think ive ever been more excited. Ill probably go and see "A scanner Darkly" just because its done in the same way "Rotoscoping" or something like that.

Ehhh.... I like that part about brain activity after death. Ive had some serious head trauma and there definatly was some weird pseudo reality underneath the communal reality. The part about a telepathic worldwide relationship however is less believable in the context they present. While i think Jung's "Universal Subconscious" is possible, it would require emense amounts of training to effectivly tap into such an athereal resevoir of knowledge...im talking meditation, not psychoactives.

whoooa I just rented that movie yesterday! I loved it! It was kinda hard to keep up with my 15 year-old attention span but I got the gist of it. now everytime I enter a room a flick the light switch on and off just to make sure....

The one with ethan hawk and that chick in bed talking bout when you die there is still some brain activity for like 5 minutes.

this is one of the greatest movies ever, and makes one realize that a drastic paradigm shift and evolution of human consciousness is coming in the near future

i didnt like this movie that much. it was a good idea with the vectors and stuff. and it looked cool. im just couldnt get into it. way to much opinion in it
