Wakeskating help

im buying a first wakeskate. only store that has dem skates has LF mod40, mod42 and sst42.im 183 cm in height and weight 150 pounds. i have a wakeboard background, and plan on doing 50%cable park and 50 boat. im not crazy about mad skate tricks, just want to be able to do same shuvits etc. want to progress in w2w tricks. what board should i get? +++++k for helpful anwsers

I would get the mod 42, I'm not a fan of bi layer decks ,sst, I just don't like the flex they have. I ride a hyperlite karma 111 which is about in the 43 range and I wouldnt want anything shorter. You are also taller than me. If you still can't decide see if they have a demo program.

dude, i wakeskated almost whole last summer,so i can handle that.and for the kneeboarding, i cant flex my knee all the way, because of my fucked up meniscus, so i can forget kneeboarding:/

If you can wakeboard you can wakeskate, getting up feels pretty much the same on both a wakeboard and a wakeskate.

Same with a wakesurf too. It's much easier to get up than one would think. I cant speak for cable park's though, ive never been.

The first time I ever surfed I was actually shocked at how easy it was. You can practically pull yourself up at idle haha.

Yeah pretty much, I actually found a wakesurf in the middle of a lake (!?!?) and that was the first time I tried haha.

As far as much info about them, it's been too long and I don't remember shit. I feel like I had a 42? I don't remember if that's how they're sized but that's what I think I had?

Only think that sucked was it delamned after a couple years of abuse.

If you're doing 50% cable, go with the Mod. The SST doesn't come with a grind base, so if you try and use it at the cable park often, it will get beat up pretty badly
