i need a new board and was wondering if you guys had any good recommendations. These are the three that im looking at:
1.
hyperlite-premier-wakeboard-circuit-boots-2011.aspx

2.
cwb-kink-wakeboard-vapor-boots-2011.aspx

3. http://www.evo.com/wakeboards/ronix-district-wakeboard-divide-boots-2011.aspx#image=39572.Size.LengthCM_143_Image.jpg
i'm 6 feet tall and about 170 lbs. im not that amazing but i can clear the wake and do small spins and grabs.
+k for bumps and comments.
thanks

i really like the premier, its tracks really well in the water. slingshot wakeboards ae the best imo if you feel like looking into other options. i can help with other questions if you pm me

The premier is the board that i learned how to ride, and god those bindings bring back memories (they are good for learning, not really if you serious about wakeboarding), and we still have it around for when we have beginners out that want to come out and give it a try.

Honestly, unless you only get to go on the super rare occasion and are not already past the "beginner" stage of just getting up and learning to pop and jump the wake, you are going to definitely want a different board. I didn't look at the other ones, but if you really are as good as you say you are your just going to hate that board and have probably already out grown its performance limitations.

If you have the extra money, what i would do is go to ebay and look at some of last years and the year befores high end boards and boots, I have a friend that was able to put together a really sick set up doing that, and spent minimal moneys. also check out the house.com and proboardshop.com, they have a lot of good deals.

Oh also stay away from binding and wakeboard packages, most of the time the bindings they come with are shit, like i said the ones that are in the package above, were great for learning but once i was better I just fucking hated them so much every time I went out. go for a closed toe binding if you can.

also look around here: http://forums.wakeboarder.com/

and if you see or hear about a product and want to know if is good or not look here: http://www.wakereviews.com/

Good luck finding something that suits your needs!

hmmm im starting to feel like that might not actually be the board we have, its been forever since ive rode it, but i swear it was called the premier......... ill let you know if i find out

Liquid Force S4. Such a fucking sick board. Fast in the flats and amazing pop off the wake. It's like their hybrid 3 stage rocker. Amazing shit.

Yea shit my bad....we had the motive. I think a few years ago when i was looking for a new board I was sort of looking at the premier, thats probably why it rung a bell.

just incase your wondering I ride a Ronix Ibex, and my buddy had a liquid force fish, which was alright, but now has a ....One i think? it rips though, both of those are highly recommended

I personally prefer ronix one. Great all around board and besides, who wouldn't want to buy a board from a rider owned company?

My buddy rides the bill and absolutely stands by it. The board has some sick ass graphics this year too.

Your biggest decision is whether you want a 3 stage rocker, which won't be as playful in the flats, or something like the murray, which has the belly of a whale and releases like nothing.

Definitely go to a shop and demo the board before you get it. There can be huge differences in wakeboards.

Slingshot makes some sick shit, but please, GTFO with this kind of argument. Graphics have nothing to do with the way a board rides, and if you buy a board for its graphics, you deserve to be dragged behind an X Star until you drown.

Would you like to elaborate on this kind sir?

As far as I know Im going as fast as the boat is taking me. Unless you mean it sits high in the water.

yea i know... its just that i only have $400 to spend and you can't get that great of a board/bindings if you buy they separately for that price

Did you not like my suggestion?

The only way I would ever buy a wakeboard is if I tested it first. There are such huge differences from one to another

I could not be happier with my set up.
Ronix Ibex boardHyperlite Audio boots
I've demo'd and ridden a bunch of friends boards, and I haven't found anything that I like better than mine. Ronix is KILLING the wakeboard scene in my opinion.

Get some wake skis. It is the fast track to geting sponsered. I am an ok snow skier (not sponsered) and a sponsered wakeskier. Check out Hyperlite

yo i have the perfect wakeboard for you, a 2010 Slingshot reflex 141 w/d3 boots size 10 and I will sell it for a super great deal

It's fast edge to edge, really quick and easy to set an edge into the wake, and just feels light, loose, and quick when riding, and then when you set an edge toward the wake the thing just rails. It's hard to explain, but if you ride a bunch of boards you'll find some that feel "heavier/slower" than others while in the flats.

I know exactly what your talking about, just different terminology with my friends. I like to call it playful when a board is light and loose. Continious rockers are usually very playful where as some 3 stages just feel like locked in power houses.

I ride for a wakeboard focused company so even though I suck this crap is always around me. But its cool because they put demos on all summer so you get to meet pros like dean cameron, adam errington, rusty malinoski, nunn.( don't quote me on any of the spelling)

Anyways what Im getting at is if you already havn't, check the local shops for demos, they are usually free and the pros always put on riding demos throughout the day and watching those guys riding from the boat is amazing and a half.
