Wakeboarding, anyone?

We all love skiing, most dislike snowboarding. is the same true for the water? Personally, i like wakeboarding over waterskiing because of the numerous tricks you can do. Let's face it, there really isn't a terrain park with water skis, and there really isn't a backcountry in the water. So, anyone here that wakeboards, waterskis, what's your opinion?

Skiing is life, and without life, no one would be here. So everyone owes something to skiing.

Personnley i think wakeboarding kicks ass. Waterskiig is nothing like regualgar skiing and all the pro skiers wake board so i think its ok dislike waterskiing an like wakeboarding.

yah i just tried wakeboarding this weekend. i've got to say it's the best summer sport there is. way harder than waterskiing. i do have a little more respect for snowboarders from it too, that whole riding your toe edge thing aint easy.

wakeboarding is a hell of a lot better than waterskiing! well i guess if someone could invent newschool waterskiing it would be sick but i like wakeboarding! i just bought my new hyperlite highbacks and they are sooo sick!

I waterski and wakeboard, and wakeboarding is a bit more fun, there are more tricks you can do. If you get behind a boat with a big wake you can clear the wake on the skis too, and do 180's and 360's, but holding on to the rope is what makes it difficult. I am working on a backflip on waterskis. Unfortunateley, waterskiing is kind of an old dead sport in relation to wakeboarding.

wakeboarding is tizight . but in the movie detention with shawn. he does a back flip on waterskis and he does stick it. they should try to invent twin tip water skis. that would be intense.

yeah i just got home from my cabin, tried wakeboarding for the first time since my little mad skills in the halfpipe accident and yeah pretty much would get up and right when i'd get out of the wake i'd fall cause i couldn't take the weight on my back leg.. i never thought about it til now to try fakie or something, but ahhhh oh well.. so thats my sad story.

i have only one thing to say:

KITE-SURFING!

it´s th most insane and fun sport ever. even as fun as skiing if not more fun. really expensive though. just started.

if you wanna go cheaper windsurf, i just think wakeboarding lacks a little freedom but stil a lot of fun.

so, KITE-SURF!

jump 60 feet long, 15 feet high, or if you are pro; 100+feet 50 feet high... no limits

wakeboarding is my new favorite sport. second only to skiing. too bad i don't have a boat or anything. i'd try kitesurfing (i'm pretty close to some great spots to do it) but it costs way too much, i've seen some guys doing it with surfboards, but the real hardcore ones do it with wakeboards. it's intense, way better than windsurfing...if only it weren't so damn expensive.

i've tried wakeboarding once, but i couldnt get up. wakeboarding is sooo sick to watch though. getting that much air of a wake is crazy

I just got back from a wakeboarding trip, it was awesome, what kind of boards do you have

I have a 142 cm 1999 CWB Rob Struharick Signature board, a 127.5cm 2001 Liquid Force Squirt, and a 1999 Hyperlite wakeskate

Wakeboarding is sick man. I have a 100-something O'Brien Ambush with O'brien Morph bindings. Workin' on a tantrum and backroll.

Wakeboarding is sweet!! Given i'm rather baised, being that i live in redmond, almost on the water of lake sammamish, where wakeboaring basically started. Hyperlight, neptune, and a bunch of other companies started out here and are still here. A lot of snowboard stores here wont sell wakeboards cause everyone in town has a hook up some how to get a free or discounted board, which is pretty much true.

ITs amazing to see the wakeboards throw down on Sammamish, almost every boat has a tower or pull, and most boats carry atleast 3 or more boards. But its just sweet

my dad got a boat and i wana wake board...whats the best kind to get

Wakeboarding kicks ass. I've been doing it for a few years now, like 1/2 a dozen times every summer of so down in the Cape or here in CT. I'm not really good, just basic grabs but my buddies can do 540s and backflips and such.

Cheers

personally i like hyperlite boards but they're pretty expensive. try liquid force, cwb, obrien or origin
