Yo, so I'm about to buy my friend's wake-board but hes kind of an ass and i think he's ripping me off. He says its a Best Carbon Pro Model board but it has the scarecrow graphics and slingshot bindings (iconn?) and says they fucked up the graphics. Anyhow i dont know much of what im talking about but he wants 450 for the set and it's used although seems to be in decent condition. If anyone can help me out thad be chill. thx alot

sounds steep. if you dont know much about wakeboards, then go buy a brand new one for less than that.

yeah sounds way to pricy!! For US$450 you can buy a pretty decent set up brand new

if u dont know much about wakeboarding, chances are that the board he is trying to sell u is either a heaps good one, in which case you wouldnt need one that good to learn on, or its a not so good one but way too pricy. go to a shop and ask them is my recomendation

is the brand's name Best Carbon? if so, i've never heard of it. and chances are hes ripping you off. you can get a decent setup for less than that. and if hes an ass, dont support him by buying his shit.

naw i think its carbon an the dudes last name is Best and its his model. Anyhow my funds are in canadian and the only shop ive checked out has a setup for 900 dollars (i forget if towline is included) and how the hell would they fuk up graphics? ive never seen a pair of 1080s with pocket rocket graphics man.. but then again i mesured it and from what i got the specs match the board he says it is rather than the scarecrow (the graphics it has on it). i feel like im gettin fucked either way. is there a site with any decent boards with decent prices or a well known one in the montreal quebec region? all well, hit me back

these people dont know what they are talking about.... if he is sellin you the board and the bindings for 450 it can't be that bad of a deal at all..... i dont know what kinda board it is but if you wanna buy a high end board it will alone frun you at least 700+ and high end bindings can run you 300+

yah man.. thats a rip.. thats how much it should be brand new. eb\vene for top names like hyperlite

Alright here is the deal, The Iconn Shannon Best Pro model is over 3 yrs old. It is a heavy board even if it is carbon simply because most boards back then weighed in at around 7 to 7.5 lbs. The Shannon Best Pro is NOT a good board in any time period. This is why Iconn is not a big company anymore and Best is out of the game. Plus for 450 you can get a nice Obrien Shapiro Pro, any hyperlite model with average bindings, double up board and bindings, or any number of good boards. But I recomend avoid buying an old Best pro, they were never good boards to begin wtih.

yeah, ive got a hyperlite. not too pricy and solid in all areas.

okay, about the graphics, they do have boards that have the wrong graphics on em. My brother just bought one at a local store, it had the graphics of a bigger hyperlite motive board on it, but it was 134cm, and not the larger size. Because of this, the board was about $50 cheaper than with the original graphics.

Before you go and buy the board though, ask if you can test it out and see if you even like it. You should be able to find a decent setup brand new for about $300-$400 USD. It's all about how the board feels to you though, and even if you like the board, you might want to spend extra on new fins and bindings cause again, it's all about comfort and how it feels to you.

It doesn't really seem like you're getting ripped off by your friend

of course, the price sounds bit steep...I'm really not familiar with the board or company you're talking about so I dunno how it rides.
