Wakeboard boats?

hey does anyone have a boat or know anything about them. I talked my pops into buying me a Dodge Ram 2500 (for snowmobiling, dirtb biking blah blah) and a boat and i'm wondering which one is the most bad ass and can accomidate the most amount of people (gotta have room for the topless girls and kegs).

any info would be greatly appreciated. word.

too bad...it's for real. my sister just moved next to a private lake and i'm pretty pumped....now i won't be bored in the summer. :)

alot of the tige boats ive seen through huge wake and look real nice. ive never been in one but seems like theres alot of space

so i was looking at the tige's and they look pretty sick.

Master craft and mailbu are BY FAR the best. But get ready to spend 85K. I have a Calabria, which is only around 50k and is just as good in my opinion.

a sea doo actual boat for going fast or a skinautuque (spelling?) for wakeboarding and pulling < very powerful

basically the mastercraft x-star is the poo, and of course the most expensive. if you want to have the sickest boat without qualms over cash then that's it. mcraft also has a 28' wakeboard boat if that's what you care about the most (28' = huge = more people as you mentioned). we have a tige and i really like it, though.

of course! But you'll have to find a way to earn your ride. I think we could come up with something, lol.

I tow people in an air nautique for work, its plenty big. I had to cram 7 people on it and it still planed off quick with enough power to get a wakeboarder up.

I really hope you respect how much your dad gives you and realized that 90% of the people have nothing close to what you have.

I've got a Gekko GTO with fat sacs. It throws a pretty big wake, but if you could get anyone you want, I'd go with an Air Nautique. My friend has one and it's definitly a quality boat.

My friend has that, and I've been learning to wakeboard behind it. Its got 6 ballast tanks and power wedge to make the ass of the boat twice as heavy, and make a perfectly sculpted wake that you can widen, narrow, heighten or lower on the go. I've only tried it at full height once, and rocketing towards a two foot curl of water scares the shit out of you. Its def a nice boat. Mastercrafts are boring.

my dad really wants to surf behind the boat....which is another huge reason for getting it. he is a cali guy and lives in colorado. what are the special stuff you need to do that. someone told me you need a special motor so you don't inhale the carbon monoxide....whats the deal?

You can do it on the Malibu I posted, hella fun. YOu just need a power wedge to drag the back down, ballast to make the wave big and a large gas budget. As far as the engine, I dunno, never really considered CO. You're off to the side of the exhaust anyways.

having a special exhaust would probably help, but I'm not sure it's necessary. My friend has an 02' super air natique and we could surf just fine behind it. It wasn't the greatest cause the engine is in the middle, but we had tons of people in the boat, full ballast tanks and 2 750lb fat sacks.

If you're going to be doing a lot of surfing, definitely get a V-drive (engine in the back) so there is more weight back there. Also you'll want minimum 1000lb internal ballast, if not more, and invest in some fat sacks. Especially if you aren't going to have a lot of people in the boat all the time. Fuck wakesurfing is fun. I want to go right now.

ski nautiques = ski boats.

ski boats are designed to virtually have the smallest wake possible.

maybe your thinking of an air nautique? those are the wakeboard version: tower, ballist (sp?) tanks, and bumpin speakers on the tower.

07 mastercrafts have had a lot of problems this year. Buy a different year, but personally I would go with Malibu. I have owned/operated 01, 04, and 07 Mastercrafts, 04 was the best year out of those, Love most Malibu's I am in.

what ever you do, dont spend the extra cash on the nicer sound system. get the cheap one and toss it. Then but wet sounds tower speakers, they are $$$, but so much better then anything else made. And just buy your own marine HU with ipod plug, and eq, a couple amps, 4 car speakers and a 12" car sub. In the end it will cost basically the same as the nice upgrade system in a boat, but is 10x better then anything from the factory. Including the boston stuff that comes in malibu's.

i think those $65k boats are a waste of money . i rock an older skiboat with a hiline and a superbig fatsack to boost the wake. it works pretty good and is a lot cheeper.

if you want the biggest most bad ass Wakeboard boat that throws the best wake by far its the X-Star. Get some fat sacks (i got one and im buying one more). Theres no arguement that its the best wakeboard boat on the water. Its the official tow boat of the X-Games and pro's will only throw certain shit on an X-Star cause the wake is that much bigger and nicer.

if you got any questions just pm me.

well it sounds like you dont really want a wakeboard boat. more of a boat to fit girls in. but for a wakeboard boat, supra by far will pwn all.

Um, I would like to suggest malibu. They are super luxurious inside, and their wake, if weighted right (most 07s have factory ballast that is out of control) the wake is rediculous.

Master Crafts are cool, but for some reason I hear of a lot of problems with them. Engine/electrical. Ive only ridden behind one new one, it was an X-2 and it was a pretty sick ride.

B-52's are super sick too. Their wake is out of this world. They are not as well known, but its some of the gnarliest wakes I have ever seen.

Tige is cool, but I have never been a huge fan. Their wakes are not especially big, but the boats seem to run fine. (A friend of mine with a 05 had snakeskin upolstry that is wearing off. When he called tige about it, they replied "well don't you know that snakes shed?")

Centurion - I have a 02 hurricane. The wake is pretty rad if its weighted right. That is if the ballast tanks work. There are 3 cupholders on the whole boat, I have had endless electrical problems with the boat (stereo, ballast). The way the factory ballast is set up puts too much weight in the boat with the V-drive and the wake curls, since the hull is wake shaped, meaning it sits way lower in the water, the displacement causes the wake to foam over with all of that ballast. I put a 300 lbs sack in the bow every time I ride.

I love my boat more than anything, and I'm sure the future models of centurion are prime, But this was the first year that factory ballast had been installed as well as factory noise system. It has a 325 merkruser and is 21 ft.

Sangers are cool, but they are too ski-boat oriented, and do not sit low, and they are completly flat bottomed. The wake is really mellow, though can be made large.

Supras; One of the sickest boats out there. You would be original and badass with one of these boats. THEY ARE FUCKING RAD

Natique; I have only ridden behind 1 older air natique. The wake was pretty solid, but kinda steep. This would be a sick boat, especially the new team one or whatev.
