Wake skiing?

Think water skiing but with short, rockered, symmetrical twins and your pretty close.
I'm really temped to get a pair for this summer! Looks fun

That's because wakeskating is infinitely more fun that wakeboarding, especially when you crash. Wakeskiing though, I'd like to try before spending money. If anyone in CO has a pair and wants a tow lemme kno.

i guess wake skis arent that much more fun than water skis.. but i still would like to try them

I actually got to demo the original pair put out by HO two summers ago! At first I was super stoked on the idea and couldn't wait to give it a try. Unfortunately was forced to use a waterski binding that has little to no support behind your calf, which makes it near impossible to ride switch or land switch behing a boat. Also airing off of a wake at an angle is an issue because your feet are never popping at the same time. This sport makes sense in a cable park but needs to develop a boot that more resembles a ski boot.

This is a great thought, but needs more development in my opinion!

They don't hold up at all. Friend of mine did a front off the jump at 32 like he always does (on normal freestyle Jump water skis) and he shattered them. this has been the case for a lot of people i guess. They're more for wake tricks and sliders at lower speeds. Its a neat idea but not there yet.

they look fun but even more dangerous than wakeboarding. i think the common misconception with water sports is that you won't get hurt because you fall in water. WRONG. call me a bitch but every concussion I have had has been because of wakeboarding. Sure you can just cruise around on the board and avoid pain, but its only fun if you are jumping wake to wake and trying tricks. Fun at least until you experiece the pain that is smashing into water at 25mph. I have rocketed into trees after flipping over my mt bike and experienced less pain than I conistsantly do on the water. meh, im probably just being a bitch because im bitter but w/e.
