Waiver to get skis mounted???

ok well today i went to a ski shop around me with a friend because he wanted to get his fugis center mounted and retuned. and the clerk asked if he had a parent present. he said no. Im guessing because he was getting them center mounted that it was a liability kind of thing. do any of your shops do this? i plan on getting my chronics center mounted tomorrow and when i get a new pair of skis in like a month i plan to get them mounted too. if they ask im just going to say ive been skiing for 7 years and i bought the skis. also my mom doesnt know anything about skiing by the way so she wouldnt even know why she would need to sign something.

it doesnt matter where you get them mounted, they have to have a signed waiver by parents if youre under 18. liability is a bitch

wow, thats retarded, they are probably making you sign the waiver because if your binding pops out of the ski they can say that its not there problem, he signed a waiver

^ i'm sure you'll have to go with her. A random note won't cover all the legal shit on there papers i bet.

Thaths Uniform.

any or us under 18 every pair of skis we have got mounted at our shops there was a repective waiver that your parents signed saying tht they wouldnt press charges if something wrong happens to you that could have been caused by a binding fault.

well if it's a cool shop and they fuck up they'll help you out, it's more like so if your binding pops out and you crash and hit somethin and get hurt or somethin you're parents (or you) dont sure their pants off.

Nothing to do with where it's mounted....it's simply if you are under 18 a parent/guardian has to sign the waiver and if you are over 18 the you can sign it

uhh im under 18 and ive never had to have my parents sign anything when i get my skis mounted

They refused to remount my brother's old bindings so that they would fit my feet... not even when I offered to sign a waiver. So I just bought a pair of 20$ bindings and had 'em slap those on.

btw, these were like oooold skis, back when skis were straight. I wanted them to practice in my backfields without recking my nice skis on rocks etc.

I never had to have my parents sign any waivers...And I brought skis to the shop to have them mounted multiple times before I was 18.

well i went back today to get them mounted. and they never even mentioned the waiver or anything. mind you my mom was in the store but didnt say anything. prety beat because i was going to go back with my friend earlier in the day but i couldnt because i thought i needed my mom to sign. so i could of saved my mom a trip out to the shop.

Its not so if the binding rips off its if your leg gets ripped off due to binding failure. Its normal, almost all shops do except most have you sign a work order with a waiver on the bottom.

yea at my shop if there is any binding work being done we have u sign so that u are awear that binding work is being done and thats its ok by you, and then when you pick up we make u sign again to say that we went over what we did and u understand it so that no one can sue us
