Wait..Miley Cyrus has a good song?

you seem to fail to understand that literally everything borrows stylistic elements from something else. your argument is invalid. but i do agree with most mainstream music being overly algorithmic

I don't but whatever. Just that there's a difference for me from letting different styles influence you to being a cheap knock of brand or different styles.

Everything about them just doesn't seem genuine.

I hear people calling it "bluegrass" because it has a banjo and that just kind of get's to me. I probably dislike them more because it doesn't make sense to me how they're as big as they are.

That isn't even a "not my style" thing. For example I don't listen to DMB but I think he has an extremely talented band and carter beauford is one of my favorite drummers.

I guess I should be happy that they write their own music but I don't even that doesn't make me feel great. It's sad when something like that can be the biggest plus to something. People don't write their music, everything is over produced to make shitty people sound good, what the fuck happened to just making music.

I dont care how mainstream or overplayed it might be, you tell me this song blows and Ill call you a liar.

i get why you dont like them...and I actually agree that they're just being an image. But, I still like them, i like the sound and i like the style and i like the banjo and i JUST like it. whenever i listen to their music it makes me want to get in a car and drive through the english country side roads. i dont even care.

You're joking right? Because that's what I had stuck in my head from listening to the radio on the last cross country trip a few days ago. Had that song in my mind while I was typing those posts.

I will wait i will wait. Then they have their banjo come in at the standard point in all there songs.

And snoz I hear you. There's song I feel that way about. Might not be the best but it does something for me or brings me somewhere and I don't give a fuck what people say.

I think it was hearing people call it bluegrass music a few times that put me over the edge.

Yea and after the build up the beat drops and the dubstep starts. Who cares.

The song is just really good. You make a better song and maybe I'll be more inclined to appreciate your criticism.

Oh there's that argument. If you don't have a better song you can't talk.

I'm glad you like it, good for you. The guy can't even play the banjo but whatever. If it makes you feel good then listen to it. What do I care.

Wasn't that shit old last year?

inb4 another shitty comeback and not a reasonable explanation to why you keep saying NsG.

I just tried nicely asked why... Wasn't trying to make a big deal about it.

Why bother posting that comment honestly?

Why?

Why?

Nope, just was wondering why actually. And I don't care if you TyPe LieEEK DiS.... But just was weird because he always says NsG so I just wanted to ask lol. Sorry for "making a big deal" but you kinda just added fuel to the fire there... Just a heads up.

Seriously, da fuck is this?

I don't understand all the hate towards them though. I listen to some "real" folk and even bluegrass, but I still like them. To each their own I guess. Also, I actually enjoyed OP's post. Not bad at all.

One of the scaeriest shows I ever saw was cake in 09.It was at a fest and I ended up near the front. I love cake but the show was semi bizarre, the singer was wasted, and I was coming up way to hard on some L. This girl I was with left to get something from her camp, said she'd be right back. Hell she could have only been gone a couple min but I started freaking out in the crowd and ran away. I hung out with bundang bear and chilled out of the crowd and felt better.

/ cool story hansel.

Nah not that crazy. At a fest in upstate ny. Was spun in another land and remembered hearing arco arena for the first time in 5+ years. Shit just send me wild in the groove. Then I have no idea what they were playing when I got all scared and ran away.

Haha shit, I'm from near Sacramento so I hear Arco Arena and my first thought is the place not the song. My bad
