vx1000 or vx2000

Hey, Does anyone own a vx1000 or vx2000? I have been trying to get ahold of one. Please leave the price you paid, and your personal rating. I've been shopping around.. Thanks a lot.

 
get the vx-2000, because the vx-1000 came out 10 years ago, so if you find one it will be used, and it will be about 10 years old. the vx-2000 has a flip out screen and color viewfinder, the 1000 does not

You'll be able to get a VX1000 for a whole load cheaper though. Look around for prices and base your decision on that. Cheapest you'll find a used VX2000 is about $16000, vs a VX1000 for $900 or so. The quality is very similar, and I doubt you'll know how to use all the extra stuff on the VX2000 if you're asking here. By the time you buy tapes, batteries and lenses, you'll be could be spending a lot more, so think about it.

 
And places to look - eBay (of course) - - always loads of VX2000s for sale, VX1000s sometimes. Mandy.com has good listings for used stuff.
