VT Open

i was at the vt open last year and i went up the chairlift with a few kids and they said that there isnt going to be a vt open this up comming season because salomon is done sponsoring the event anymore. is this true?

i did use the searchbar also just incase there is another thread on this
 
yea i was talking to dale talkington and he heard that there wasnt going to be one next season and he probabaly knows whats up with what so idk
 
thats too bad, it seemed like the vt open was more of a place where unheard of skiers can come and dominate and basically get set from there on, much more so than the us open at least
 
i heard that there not having it because they felt that we had no respect for them when we did that train and they dont want to deal with that shit but idk
 
Yeah this one kid jeff told me that that it was no more. Because of the train and the snowballeers. And that they wouldn't put up with it anymore.
 
Vtopen 2007 was the most poorly organized event I’ve ever been to. If it is true they aren’t having it again (don’t see way b/c they must make a shit load off us) I can bet it is b/c of Kelly. She pretty much fucked up the best running east coast event ever and uses the trains as a diversion to the real problems. All the shit that went down at the vto was a product of poor organization skills.
 
^I second that for sure! They let the sick ass slope course and the pipe go to shit.

I am SOOOOO glad the train went off tho. The train was one of the coolest things I saw all year!!!!!
 
hahaha "Kelly's a bitch" i remember chanting that phrase and whatnot, that was fun.... even though it was run poorly i still had a ton of fun, skiing with friends, and kids i normall dont ski with everyday, skiing a park that is much better than anything at home.
 
from what i heard like the last day of the event, they were saying that they were fed up with us and our antics. but they say that every year, and whats the point of canceling it? The course is there regardless from the US open, i mean why not. If it does get cancelled, i would annoyed but it wouldn't surprise me.
