VT open train

that shits rediculous. they way kids are freaking out about how they were so disrespected by patrollers or rangers or whatever, its your fucking fault. you were the ones who ducked a rope, went right by the patroller as hes saying no, wouldnt you get a lil pissed if you were under that situation? little shitfucks rolling by you with a complete lack of respect for not only the guidelines on the mountain, safety, or the patroller as a person? i say fuck yeah that some patrollers tackled the kid...wouldve been rad if some random kid in need of an attitude check got his ass handed to him by some stratton employee. that shit couldve been way fucking sick for sure, but not only did you go wrong doing it by breaking rules, breaking shit that takes away from the budget that the park crew get to try to make the park a lil better, giving strattons paying customers a bad experience (fucking with strattons money in the bank pretty much) you also go online and then try to actually put yourself in the right on this case? fuck man, the whole point of the lil adrenaline rush you got from that is from doing something risky and shit...risk...shit you have to deal with...you took a gamble, it went of pretty well for you, fucked over a lot of already tired people, and now you have to deal with some of the consequences from that risk. dont go around bitching like you did nothing wrong. you did.
 
yes cuz stratton has no money. They are just a low budget mountain that cant afford a couple of pieces of bamboo. I think replacing the shit that was broken might actully put intrawest out of business. What does a stratton tickets cost these days? 70 somthing? i think they can afford it

*The old white hair and bearded patroller was the one that had the panic attack and started screaming into the radio, 3 trains went before he got there, stuff got out of control with stratton for no good reason.

*I saw and heard park crew at the course at the stairset mad disrespecting and talking smack days before the train, they promptly shut up when they realized someone was listening (me).

 
Interesting how when an incident like CR and Kye happens, everyone is quick to point out how "stupid" they were for not making sure that the landing was clear, etc.

But when nobody gets hurt, doing the same thing is all of a sudden "the coolest thing ever".

Not that I'm against trains, and that one looked super fun, but it's funny how everyone on this site reacts more to the outcome than to the action.

IF someone had fallen and been landed on and severely injured, then most of the people on this thread would be spraying about how stupid it is to do trains, and would likely be blaming the Parks crew for letting it happen, and a bunch of shitheads would be telling the injured person to sue Stratton for not ensuring the park rules were followed, etc.

And while I hate to hear about power tripping anywhere, the "StrattonParks" guy sounds like he is pretty reasonable and respectful, and doesn't deserve to be getting beaked on.

Of course the ninjawhatever dude sounds like a complete tool, so go nuts on his ass.

And the train looked super fun, I especially liked the snowboarder who poached in with you guys.
 
Thats why you don't fall. The situation with CR was like 1 in a million, the fact that kye landed just perfectly on him so his ski hit right under his helmet is crazy. When you're on like a 20ft jump, you dont fall and stop, especially it looked icy, and people just kept going when they fell. I think in a park situation on a small jump like that, someone getting landed on is a very slim chance. Also, cr got landed on because he was hiking back up, you loose your shit in a train, you wait, pretty simple.

As for people coming on here and bitching about park crew because someone somehow got hurt, thats bullshit. We are freestyle skiers, not sandy vagina lawyers.
 
I think that a lot of this is true, however I don't think that many people really thought about the consequences. 

However, there was like 6 people on the deck that would have thrown up an X if there was a pileup at the bottom.

I also agree that the Kye/Cr thing was a freak accident, I don't remember people pointing out how stupid it was, i remember sympathy and a lot of "oh shit, that's so unlikely and sad"
 
Like I said, I'm not against the train, it was pretty sweet.

And I agree that the CR thing was a freak occurence, although that didn't stop hundreds of shithead kids getting on these forums and talking shit about how stupid and irresponsible they were being when it happened.

That's all I was trying to say, that there are a lot of NS haters who will find fault in a situation no matter what happens, and they base it on the outcome instead of the action.

In this case the Stratton park staff were "assholes" for doing their job, but if, for example, the parks crew were being cool about the train, and someone did get hurt in it (as unlikely as that may be), then the park staff would have been "assholes" for NOT doing their job.

Whatever... I guess the point is just to be a little more chill in general, and that goes for the NS crowd AND the Stratton crowd.

lets get back to the train.....did anyone notice the artwork in this shit....ok i might be bored but its incredible. the train goes 3 backs 3 fronts then backs backs front fronts and then one kid on the right w/ orange seths or orange bases rodeos the right lip spinning left and another kid at the same time on the left lip rodeos spinning to the right at the same time then two lincolns right next to each other follow by misty and back together .....obviously a lot more too but that shit was like fuckin "Human Jumping Air Art" or some shit haha.
 
it was all in retaliation to strattons shitty vto. First, they put only top pros on the prequalified list and said they were trying to make the comp more legit. how is it more legit if those pros will never come? then they didnt book a room or have a spot for hibbert and ahmet with freeskier. They tried calling the kelly bitch for a month and she never picked up. Next, they somehow thought it was super cool to build 1ft wide takeoffs for rails and thought that salting in springtime was a bad idea or something. They didnt cut the pipe for qualifiers. Pipe was complete shit. The big air "jam" was suppose to be alot longer, but they changed it to like 3 jumps for the entire thing. i thought i was doing semi finals when in reality it was finals because they ddint even tell me what the fuck was going on. They messed up all the times and shit too. It was just a poor event and the best thing to come out of it was the train.
 
oh and hennie, at the bottom of the big air jump 2 guys grabbed and tackled ahmet just because a kid followed him off the big air jump during practice.
 
^ ha yea i work for stratton in the summer we def dont hav that much money at all. its a ski resort rememeber not a gold mine. very few ski resorts do VERY well when owned by big companies like intrawest.
 
so I need to go back and hate on stratton for a minute. So yesterday was so dope, they opened the VT Open course and it was so sick. So today I'm pumped for another day of that and the pipe and what does stratton decide to do? They decide to not run the sun bowl lift, preventing any lift access to the park and pipe. FUCK YOU Stratton
 
i love that kid yelling while theyre hitting the jump "KEEP GOING...DONT STOP!" that snowboarder was being a dick why was the patrol so pissed about that?
 
hhahahahaha, have you ever actaully been to stratton? its a multi billion dollar corperation that doesnt need more money or know what to spend more money on, the main focus of most stratton employees this year at vto was to make sure no one skied their parks and no one had fun. if you were there you would know that stratton started the "fight" and we kicked their ass, those assholes who are always there giving you shit, telling you to slow down and having shitty lives as employees of a place llike stratton, got owned, little did those retards know that it is illegal to assult anyone let alone a minor, so when they tackled little kids trying to have fun, they are lucky no one used any self deffence and knocked them the fuck out
 
exactly. and if someone was too have a slogan for VTO this year, it was definetly "kelly's a bitch!!!"

as for the train, it was the most epic and fun thing ever. 68 newschoolers flying through the park doing kangs, fronts, backs, daffys, and just about anything else you could think of. the fact that they actually closed the park and tried to take our passes and then we got away gives me a real sense of accomplishment.
 
the tall lady at teh starting gate was sooo annoying, fuck stratton, the vto was sooo lame this year. I'm bummed I wasn't around for the mischief in teh train.
 
the park crew and stratton deserved that shit. they were fucking d bags. they seemed to result to physical force for everything. i witnessed MULTIPLE situations where they grabed/ tackled people for no apparent reason (not the day of the train). we "poached" accross the powerpark to get to the lift only to get stopped by a park ranger and get yelled at to give him our passes. the fucker even grabbed jeff before we even said a word and started yelling at us. and ahmet getting tackled by the park guy during the big air was fucking bullshit. so what are people supposed to do if they want to know the speed? not train??? fuck that.. it all comes down to the stratton park crew being complete ASSHOLES. their the ones who started all the shit so they fucking deserved it. im happy they lost their jobs. hopefully stratton will hire some new RESPECTABLE guys who are super chill about everything. park rangers are supposed to be shredders who respect shredders and that is NOT what the gay ass stratton park rangers were doing.

i know at my home mountain we are all buddies with all the park rangers. we talk on a day to day basis while skiing. they are nice and RESPECT us as fellow shredders instead of making fun of us because we ski and they snowboard.

as for the train... it was fucking awesome!!!! how can you not respect the amount of kangs poked in each one!!! jeez!!!! by FAR the best thing i have ever been a part of.
 
but what if this "train" phenomenon takes over stratton? with utter chaos on the mountain how will strapon sell condos?
