VOTE TO UNBAN STOWRBUM!

this isnt a democracy...if it was decided by the NS staff that he should be gone then so be it. He's been pushing our buttons for a long time now.
 
I never banned him. I IP banned a some pattys_panzer accounts, maybe he was affected.
 
Yeah It wasn't personal... It was an IP ban to get rid of all the accounts, and one of them was his.

your guys having the ability to ban people and all that stuff is sooo fucking cool to me, im not really an comp guy so i dont know how taht shit works, but it really is way interesting to me.

i dont know what he did cause it doesnt work.. but even though u said u banned a group of IP's you should be able to bring one back..
 
I personally think the banning of stowebum is bullshit. Did he cause any damage to the site, no, I dont think so. Was he spamming for means of advertising, no. So what did he do. Stowebum, as long as others created an alias and who on the site honestly cares if they posted some stuff. The posts made could of been deleted and each person involved warned that if they do it again they will get banned. But no, the ns authorties decided it would be fair to ban only one person (Stowebum) with no previous reasons for being banned. If so I want examples, what did he do before this. Stowebum has contributed to this site just as much as any of us have and he should be able to stay. Ns I wouldnt be complaining right now if everybody involved with this alias also got their ip banned. Why ban one person and not the rest?
 
you know what guys? im the patty meantionned in the names "patty panzer". i was general i guess of that crap, but i wasn't here at all yesterday, when whatever led to banination happended, so i guess there was a mutiny... it was not i who lead anything, so my delegate lieutenants when hay wire... heads will roll.
 
I just read the Newschooler's Agreement and it states nothing speciic about spamming. This is the statement

"(g) disseminate off-topic messages on boards promoting any product, service, web site, board or venture, or promote boards on the Service through unsolicited electronic mail messages to third parties."

Its not specific but I believe this is what is ment by spamming a site. If so otherwise it should also be included.

And for you Stowebum Newschoolers retains the right of removal or deletion of any user for no reason. They do not need to tell you why you were removed or anything.

"You agree that Newschoolers.com, in its sole discretion, may terminate your password, account (or any part of it) or ability to use the Service, and remove and discard any Content within the Service, for any reason or for no reason"

"any termination of your access to the Service may be immediate and without prior notice."

Also Stowebum if you are "hacking" onto the site which I doubt Newschooler's has the right to ban you for that reason.

I dont think Stowebum should be removed until the user contract with newschools is updated to include spamming or the creation of an account which main purpose is to hassle or distrubt the forums. (Something like that)
 
wait...so it's ok to spam a whole bunch if somebody cool is on NS Radio...and the guy on NS radio saying, "keep spamming those forums!"

how can you let it be promoted on NS Radio, but as soon as somebody does it then they get banned? no entiendo senor...
 
Because they run this shit and make the rules, this is a free service they give to you, its not ur right to be on this site, its a priviledge. So if some people take advantage of it then thats there fault and deserve to be banned, doug chris and paul are good guys and put up with a lot more shit than most of us would.
 
Because, whoever was on the radio was drunk and it was their fault. It's a completely different situation here, you're an ignorant person to think it's even close to the same.
 
i'm just curious what happened to the users that did spam in that situation though. i'm not tryin to make any kinda statement...just curious.
 
I don't think anything, since it was them obeying a 'higher power'. all the threads got deleted though, and whoever it was on the radio got all the mods anger taken out on them.

..just seems like everyone is dissing, i still love the site, even if there are aliases and other gay stuff. but i do think that patty panzer thing was hilarious, too bad i wasnt home for it...
 
so are you saying that all tose posts that Lat, bristolrider, mattman and the likes have been usefull. i doubt it. i have no problem with them but everyone with that many posts has done there fair share of spamming. they defianately are more usefull than the aliases but why werent any of the other aliases ip banned?
 
He is just using proxies to change his ip. they said it before his ip was banned not his username.
