haha i thought this contest was for people that don't already have access to a place like that? I mean not to hate but your Tim Russel, a legend of sorts. Aren't you already on the canyons' freeride team?
 
yeah im on the canyons Freeride team. Which mean they give me a pass. Thats it. This is something that has nothing to do with what i have accomplished in the past. This is a full-time job that will allow me to reach out to so many people with what i have done and experienced.

isn't it standard procedure for washed up skiers to get a job in the industry? entering this contest and getting a sticky on newschoolers to promote it is pretty lame. youre a joke.
 
not to hate, but that is kind of bullshit that 1. your applying for this job, and 2. that you are trying to promote the shit out of it, and this is stickied.
you are a "professional" athlete. this competition isn't directed towards you. you have had countless opportunities to travel, film, shoot, and "reach out" to people like you are saying this job would allow you to do.
this opportunity is for people that otherwise wouldnt have this chance, and in the spirit of this promotion i think thats the whole point.

just realized you said you already get a pass, not that you are doing this to get a pass.
point still remains, youve had your shot in the industry, you shouldnt be going after promotional opportunities.
 
I would refer you to the countless posts people made saying that garret isnt the nicest guy around but NS removed all of them from this thread.
 
so how exactly have you come to the conclusion that tim russell deserves to win this competition? because hes an old washed up pro skier? because hes had the reputation of being an ass in the past? because he hasnt had the opportunity to live the dream life already?

so if tim wins and he gets to live in that suite, is he going to move his family in there too?
 
Someone that is not living the dream currently needs to win this contest, not a pro skier that works for the canyons.
 
I have mad respect for Tim Russell he's pushed out some pretty banger segments for L1P and Rage, but seriously NS mods? Tim already lives/ has had a life 99% of this site would die for. I think its kinda ridiculous NS mods would sticky this just because. Again no hate towards Tim just seems kinda flawed .
