werd up Ryan. This award shouldnt be given to someone just because they're good at sliding rails, or can do a nice cork 7. When you're voting for this scholarship, you should be thinking of it in terms of how an a educational one is given out. They dont give school scholarships to people who are just smart or good at sports. They give it those who have drive and determination, and want to take that (along with their skills), and put it towards a plan for their future.
That being said, Heimer is the best choice for this award. What he overcame last year both physically and mentally is something that no one should have to go through. And not only is he back killing it again in every area of skiing, from jibbing to big mountain, he's continued to be focused on making an impact on the sport both on and off the hill.
For that reason, and many others, he deserves this award. So go vote for him.
