I'll vote for the youngest person running.. I don't care if they're democrat or republican or communist, I don't trust old people. They should be in retirement homes.
 
I can't see him getting the dems' nomination. But I could see him running as a VP for John Edwards.
 
if he runs, i will definitely vote for him. what we need in the white house is someone entirely different than what we've had for awhile. while he's less experienced than say, John Edwards, but that inexperience can be used to our advantage to bring about change in our policies.

to whomever said that they are not voting for him because he's black, you better be kidding.
 
we'll see, he "says" he's not running, though his plans would benefit skiing in the long run as he would make addressing the global warming problem a priority from day 1.
 
do you guys think gore would win if he ran? i bet his movie changed a lot of minds, if not then made people think about it seriously. i would think he would definitely be in the running solely on the global warming issue.
 
Obama is a really chill guy, don't get me wrong. i like him a lot. but there is one thing that bugs me.....he is a open boarders guy. and a democrat. not that i don't like democrats, i just prefer republican views better. oh and one more thing that scares me a bit is that we have no clue how he would run the country considering that he has only been a senator for like 4 years, we have no clue if he is gonna screw up the country or save it.
 
Last senator from illinois who had only served two years got his face carved on a mountain and a big memorial in DC. give the guy a chance.

And to the elephant above me which republican policies do you like? the ones about spending gov money while reducing income so we become trillions of dollars in debt? or the ones about rewarding those that screw other over while punishing those that get screwed over? or the one about completely fucking over the environment?

and open(ish) boarders are the only thing this country has going for it in terms of how the world view us.
 
Interestingly enough, Barack is pro-war. He says that he is not but if you look at his congressional voting record not only has he ALWAYS signed bills to expand the war efforts, he recently signed a bill to invade Iran and also another bill to send another 90,000 troops to Iraq. Sure he is young and can gain trust amongst the youth, but he is NO different than the presidents we have had for the past 16 years. It's a bit late in the game now for Washington state, but if you have not yet, take a look at RON PAUL. The ONLY candidate who will pull us out of Iraq, limit big government, and actually make a difference. I mean seriously, how many times have we voted for someone who fails to act on their promises?!! Ron Paul has had the same stance on all of his issues for over 25 years as a congressman. Take a look for yourself: ronpaul2008.com.
 
ron paul destroys all (because he's more intelligent and doesnt give a shit about creating this happy robotic image like all other in the race) but probably isnt oging to get the repub nod. next choice down the line is obama for sure. next down the line is genocide.
 
Ron Paul would not get shit done because he would not be able to work with either party. he would be a worse president the jimmy carter.
 
yeah cause he probably wouldnt give a shit about those really important issues like .. gay marriage or giving out felony charges to potheads.. or trying to enforce christianity on people .. or killing everyone.
 
i think it should go back to the original system: #1 most votes = president.........#2 most votes = vice president. that'll either fuck things up royally or maybe they might work together if one's an elephant and one a donkey. no matter what, its better than the boondoggle clusterfuck we have now.

and every politician should be paid less and taxed more. and super taxed (75%) on any lifetime earnings (including secret trust funds, book deals, speeches, outright bribery). then maybe they'll realize that tax money is taken not magically appearing in their coffers. and maybe, just maybe, they'll spend it more wisely. and then we won't have completely shortchanged our infrastructure and education system.

and everytime some dumbass politician takes a look at a perfectly legit bill and says "if you want my vote you have to add this line-item bullshit pork for my district back home"......they get slapped in the face. hard. second offense = direct shot to the balls. ladies too.

Bill Clinton was recently on the daily show and said something surprising. he said that barely anything gets done in congress anymore because Senators and House Reps are all out trying to suck dick and earn money to fund their reelection campaigns and hedge funds. they should all get chained to their fucking desks until they come up with a solution. no potty breaks either.

oh look Reps Jacobsen and Haugen introduced Bill 5064 to make the Garry Oak the state oak tree. what the fuck? our state tree is already the western hemlock, why oh why don't they DO SOMETHING USEFUL?????????

hey man no need to flip. i am all for obama. he is a great man. and i think it would be really legit to have a black president. right know im having a hard time deciding to go republican or democrat in this debate.
