I was wondering if anyone new anything about working out there or volunteering for a pass. I'm 20 and I'm just lookin to ski this summer and improve my skills without having to pay for camp.

I interviewed for a summer job a few weeks ago, they said that they probably won't be hiring as many people this year as they have in the past (poor economy and stuff), so that means that it will be a lot more competitive, as if it's not already. I would get your application and cover letter in ASAP.

ive been trying to get a digger job for a while now im finaly gonna be 18 this summer so i dont know whats going down. I read through that application for the lodge and it seems pretty strict. I seriously hope being a digger isnt like that cus then ill probaly just end up having to camp out in the forrest and ski bum it

I applied for a summer job in february and didnt hear back until mid april. They dont hire early because they dont know what positions need to be filled until later. thats what they did for me last year.

It is my understanding that those hand crew jobs are particularly competitive and most positions go to guys that work hand crew in the winter somewhere else (i.e. lots of experience).

Don't overlook the food and beverage jobs - those shifts often have ride breaks built in (like between breakfast and lunch).

the turnover rate is so high at t-line during the summer that, there are always open positions. but given the economy perhaps less so. As far as skiing during a shift, that really doesn' happen, shoot for a night job.
