I'm getting a ski for 70% off piste and about 30% park, I was thinking of the 03 volkl v pro, or the v explosive. tell me which you think is better, or if there's a better ski out there

I hear the mo-ships are a bit soft, and the snow in tahoe gets so wet and thick that i need something strong, I could be wrong tho. Anyone skiied any of the new volkls?

 
get the v-pro

I have the 01-12 model which is the same except for the graphic. Their great skis. I used them in the park and their weight was easy to throw around in tricks, I ripped a backcountry snowfield in June on vicious suncupped corn/ice on them. They float really well in powder, and are stable enough for laying down some high speed rails

 
I just got my V-Pros, didn't get to ski 'em yet, but I heard only good things about 'em. A friend of mine up in tahoe bought some explosives last year and they're great, but then again: he's not playing in the park.

Just watch out where you buy, the price range they go for is huge: I ended up paying 499 for mine, but I also so them go for 650 and more.

 
the legends are just the same ski as last years and the year before v. not a wide waist but a all mountain ski.. i like it i ski it allmountain and OB and it works great. i recommend it. later

i can get pro forms so the price isn't that big of a deal. speaking of which, i just looked at the solomon website, and i can get 1080's for 225, and they seem like they'd be just as good as the v pros, same dimensions.

I just got some volkl explosives. i havent ridden em yet, but only heard good things like 'cant ever go wrong with volkls' and 'oh shit dude, those things are tanks'. i got mine (165 cm) for 220.
